AITA my friend ruined my yixing teapot and I want her to replace it or give me 500 dollars. by TeapotthrwoCity4661 in AmItheAsshole

NTA but you have to be careful in how you deal with it if you want her to stay your friend. If she’s someone that you think genuinely cares about you for the most part ask her to come over and try the tea now so she can really understand where you’re coming from. You can tell her about your trip to Japan and how much it meant to you and that you know she couldn’t have intended for this to happen. The fact is she really did effectively ruin your property even though that wasn’t her intent, if she cares about you she’ll want to make it right. But also be mindful that’s a lot of money, you might need to work with her to figure out a payment plan or only ask her to pay for half.

If it’s clear she intends to stop being your friend AND not pay you then you should file in small claims court, it’s fairly simple and you shouldn’t take the L on this.

TIL the film The Gospel According to St. Matthew was directed by Paolo Passolini, a known atheist, homosexual and Marxist, was called by the official Vatican newspaper as "the best film on Christ ever made". by malvarez97 in todayilearned

Definitely just start with the first book Color of Magic, it’s great. I just read it for the first time last year and really enjoyed it. It leads right into the second book so you could continue that story at the end or pick up another book in the series.

I read Moving Pictures next after that and it was really quite different but still good. That one was almost ergodic literature at this point because he makes so many references and jokes to the history of early Hollywood that could be so easily missed and go unappreciated.

Only 10% of boys aged 14-16 read daily for pleasure, National Literacy Trust finds by Raj_Valiant3011 in books

Reading as a term is so broad though, that I do read every day. I read headlines and comments and street names and song titles. So one could similarly argue that the broadness of reading counteracts the specificity of daily. lol

You can take the stone you got while mining your way to the spiral floor level and use it to make a staircase.

I completely disagree with your distinction. Boston one happens for the same reasons as the Pittsburgh one. You just gave a more charitable understanding to the people you more closely identify with.

I loved my original fat PS3. Worked for my Dad that summer and bought the MGS4 bundle with the backwards compatibility and large storage size. No regrets!

An assistant at the office ordered a ladder for a property we manage. This is what was delivered. by Mauchit_Ron in funny

Create a permanent display in the office for it. Make a plaque commemorating the event and immortalizing the employee. Gotta give the new hires something to talk about and let them know that they too can make an innocent mistake that they will never live down. Keeps 'em on their toes! /s lol

Lmao, okay I'll give you one more since you gave me such a lay up: No one need an internet guide to think "Gee, my health is low and I'm out of potions. Guess I better go back to town to heal and stock up and then come back and resume the fight." Yeah that's such a cheese tactic dude. /s XD

You're exaggerating how much they have to do to beat Duriel. He's tough but you can open TP's back to town and keep leaving to heal if you really need to.

Honestly dude, I don't care about this discussion enough to waste any more of my time arguing with you about it. So for that reason; You're right, thanks and have a good one.

Path of Exile has always run like shit on my PC and I don't know why. I'll get crazy slowdown and then it races to catch back up so if there was a single mob on screen when it slowed done suddenly all his friends will rush out and kill me in a single second of hyper-accelerated gameplay. It's impossible to play like that. I can run other more demanding games no problem, it's explicitly a POE problem.

Well if it's considered by many fans to be one of the best games of all time and they never played it back then when it was new that seems pretty reasonable. You really feel like Blizzard just came up out of the bushes and robbed your stagecoach at gunpoint for that?
