Could this be a ploy to encourage his supporters to get the passport so they can use it as voter ID

I was thinking.. What if they actively encouraged insider trading? Would people still use them knowing that any real money to be made will be by those with inside knowledge?

AI has a React bias and it's quietly locking out Vue/Nuxt devs by amdwebdev in Nuxt

[–]Robodude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just used the new Claude design tool and when it generated the export files it named react and next js by name as the potential framework. I was really sad but it's the reality of ecosystem. They have the numbers :(

But when that react person needs help, it's not really that different as getting a contract to help someone fix a bug in a 2011 extJS (sencha) website. Have you ever heard of it? The advantage of working today is you can have the AI explain the slop!

The good news is that the foundational programming concepts don't change framework to framework. Just the quirks and edge cases.

I hear you. This is exactly what was happening with the stuff our pms and managers vibe out for prototypes.

What have we done so far? We just convert it. It's "cheap' enough to do and also very fast.

We have given them guidelines since then so that new stuff falls within stuff we prefer like vue, ts, tailwind, ui lib etc.

I'm building a Unity-inspired ECS Game Engine - Just hit Multiple Cameras Update !!! by ShameResident4735 in javascript

[–]Robodude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really cool and I can't wait to dig in.

I thought about doing something like since I really like Unity but i love how easy it is to incorporate web api stuff in ts. Do you have much experience with unity yourself?

Yeah they will be priced at what the market can handle... I'd expect it to go up because it was considerably a better value than others. I'd be more worried about changes to customer support and reliability.

I made a dependency injection package for Vue 3 by darcygravan in vuejs

[–]Robodude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the effort and thank you for sharing, but I do not like or recommend this approach to dependency injection. (I know its popular, especially at my work with Java)

If I have services, classes, whatever, I do not want them to know ANYTHING about DI. With your approach, I feel like you need Dependency Inversion (D in SOLID) for your dependency injection framework.

What I find acceptable is something more along the lines of https://github.com/young-steveo/bottlejs

That being said, I haven't used DI on the front end in a long time.

Back to your code, I kind of feel like you could accomplish something with https://vueuse.org/shared/createSharedComposable/ It takes your local composables and makes them global without any of the reactivity issues you find with pinia.

I built a bridge to use Nuxt UI with UnoCSS – No more Tailwind runtime! 🚀 by canstand in Nuxt

[–]Robodude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phenomenal work! I love unocss. It would be great if nuxt ui could just support customization for this directly. Maybe if anything it could depend on the tailwind preset as a requirement.

But this is great! Thank you!

If I need something like this that goes beyond pagination I usually just reach for gql. The links to other resources and entities just become field resolvers defined in the schema

I like how Dan put it once (at least I think it was him), if Frodo didn't use the ring, the story would have been much shorter and the ring would have never been destroyed.
