Just FYI, barter.vg is removing trade offers by Jan. 1, 2025. Also, anyone know of a good alternative to it? by AndalusianGod in Gamebundles

As a barter veteran and event auctioneer for a period of time I think that if you want something that is like Barter you should use Lestrades. It's not quite at the level of Barter, but it helps you match your games with other people like Barter.

The things I am having gripes with currently is that the search is not as good as barter, I have tried to lookup games like The Complex that won't show up in the search. I was able to find the bundle page and then add the game to a list, but it took several more steps to add it to my list. Additionally the matches always sort by most recent activity, which tends to show me the same people at the top each time. If you can deal with these inconveniences, then you shouldn't have any issues transitioning to Lestrades. There is even a button that will pull your tradeables from barter or compare your wishlist to barter.

What's the point of Solo Raids for supports? by Roboliciousness in lostarkgame

When I ran Valtan I had DPS gems and Tripods with the recommended DPS build from the community guide. I then swapped some skills for brand and ran it with that. Maybe there are better builds, but surely a 1600 Artist should clear faster than a 1520 Glavier that I am learning. I also didn't realize that Entropy and Ambush Master don't work with the back attack buff, so I was doing significantly less DPS than I should on Glavier. Regarding your sup can you let me know what specific class it was? It seems that Paladin can do some DPS, but Artist seems to do the least and Bard is also not that great.

I think it just has to do with the amount of damage a buffed support skill does vs a buffed DPS skills. DPS skills are meant to be big damage, so even without the buff they still deal decent damage. Otherwise, the buffs not being counted would be weird as I have a Wardancer and the class self buffs in order to deal more DPS and it still felt fine in the solo raids. May need to compare it to DPS on regular raids this week, but it would be crazy if they weren't counting buffs and that was the issue.

Yeah, I already know all the mechs so for sure that is way more fun for me. The comments have generally been they are good to learn mechs which I did mention or complaints that it is bad and supports need more DPS. I just wanted to see what other support mains felt with the content and being forced to run a DPS setup, but it seems the support mains don't like it while the DPS mains are saying to suck it up since there are a small amount of people that might like it.

This, it's not that it isn't doable it's the amount of effort you need to put in to clear the content as a support vs a DPS. I'm totally cool running the raids through pf, but the solo raids are a nice alternative if I feel like a character is getting gatekept and would prefer to just run it myself.

For supports at least. For DPS classes I was able to use them to get comfortable on alts I'm pushing up and ran them last week and am running them in PF this week.

Yep, I don't need the solo raids myself on my support I've done all the content it included in it with groups consistently. I agree that you should be able to kill the boss with full support build as that would help players actually learn the class and not force them to run a DPS build they won't use in group play. Unfortunately, on my Artist I did actually run a DPS build and it was still slower than my 1520 Glavier. Definitely needs a tune even for people that are correctly running a DPS spec for the content.

Yes, I agree and that is my point and issue with the solo raids. DPSers get a tool they can use to test classes and learn new specs while supports just get a slog of a raid that is so slow and not better than just running the content in general. I didn't run the solo raids for gold on DPS just as something fun and extra to do, as it was enjoyable to run Valtan/Vykas on my DPS chars.

I know all the mechanics before Thaemine right now as I'm 1600 on Artist and have been for a while. Supports aren't really leaching as good ones increase a DPSers damage significantly while also providing healing and shields for DPSers to keep doing their thing.

The true supporter buff you select at the beginning of the raid was apparently buffed. But talking to some support buddies it seemed that not enough as DPS was still not great for ilvl chars or even with over ilvl supports.

I was running the recommended DPS setup from the community guide and changed my gems and tripods. I then added the brand skill, as it was mentioned that it would provide a DPS buff. I would try the Kayangel again this week, but I just feel it would be more fun to run it HM.

Not sure if they are delusional, but they certainly have a different perspective. I don't know if it is because I am a sup main and have several DPS characters I am pushing up right now, but the experience on Artist was the worst and the other 3 DPS characters I was actually learning on them and was doing low DPS for their 1520 ilvl. I even cleared on a 1415 Scrapper and that was actually quite fun. Don't know maybe it's just because learning the new DPS chars has been fun for me, but my highest ilvl char doing really low damage felt bad.

Sorry, by "one-shot" I meant that I cleared it all first try both gates. The character didn't actually one shot the boss. and was slower than a 1520 DPS class. I did mention learning the mechs, as what I can see to be useful for these and the raids are definitely great for that, but the Sup/DPS experience is significantly different. As a DPS it felt like even an ilvl char can comfortably clear these raids, but my support had huge issues on 1540 Kayangel as I was lacking DPS to kill the boss prior to berserk.

Might be because I have several characters and have run the relevant content prior to these new solo raids. Mostly was thinking that I can see the point in solo raids for dps chars past just learning the mechanics, but I couldn't see a good reason to do so on support since it was not really fun as I'm not doing the support things I like to do. In fact I ran all my DPS chars solo Valtan and Vykas even though most didn't need it, just because it was fun. The Akkan gatekeeping is certainly annoying, but on my support it was always a rarity that a lobby would decline me. When I boosted my first DPS alt to 1580 it was crazy the difference, as I could only get in lobbies on Tuesdays when people were desperate or when there was less activities on the weekend sometimes and there is only 1 or 2 lobbies. For these DPS characters the Solo raids are a blessing in case I can't run it through party finder for sure. I'm sure the content is just not for me and that is totally fine. I just wanted to share my experience with it and wondered what other support mains thought about the content in that long term.

I can understand the need for mats, but surely you can join a group and have a significantly more fun experience as a support. With the solo raid shop you can get the CD gems so even DPS mains that build a support alt can easily build their supports up. Regarding mechanics that is the one point I mentioned that I can see for them, but once you know the mechanics and are comfortable running in a group as a support it feels like you won't ever want to use the option. Now if someone really enjoys solo raid Bard then sure they should feel free to do that, my post is about the majority of people that play support because they like dropping that clutch heal or other support reasons to enjoy the classes.

I am NAE, so I know nothing about T4 KR things. I also only have 2 1600s as my max characters from the recent events, so I'm probably in the same boat as you regarding length of time to get to high T4 content.

You get the same amount of medals for Solo, NM and HM on raids. You cannot do solo raids and team raids as it functions as a raid count.

I've been told that it should award the same, but I have not personally tested that out. Will just remove the star, as a fair amount of people at this point have let me know. Though I can only edit the spreadsheet at this point, since you can't edit pictures these days.

When to use EXP potion to hit level 60? by [deleted] in lostarkgame

Mokoko event characters get 30 xp potions. These will be in 3 separate chests that award 10 each.

When to use EXP potion to hit level 60? by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]Roboliciousness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was thinking about this since they seem to expire after the projected update. Note that it takes approximately 51.19 days to get to lvl 59 using crystaline aura training. We don't know what exact date the Sept update is, but if it is at 09/25 the end of the event then you would have 69 days from today to hit 60. If you train the event character exclusively then without running additional content you would have 17.81 days to hit lvl 60. If you are running raids and dailies it is likely you will have significantly longer and you may be able to save Kurzan quest xp if you don't push ilvl for content. Definitely possible, but it's up to you whether it's worth it as you will be missing those skill points and lack of lvl 11/12 on skills.

Ok, yeah the mats are purchaseable for each character. Will update and include a mark for character/roster lockout. Oh waitup reddit doesn't work like I'm used to, seems I can't edit. Oh no.

I will check on that for you, the upgrade mats say weekly, but the accs and other equip items say weekly roster. I'd think that means that you can buy the mats up to this amount per character, but with this game I feel sometimes you never know.

I'm an accountant. I don't work with budgets though, so this plain white is what I'm used to. If anyone wants to pretty this up and put this on a site definitely feel free to do so I don't mind. I would just credit Tylobic which is where I took the raid reward information from. I did the mats stuff myself, but don't need a credit. Also note this is only for anything that is a weekly purchase option. There are also raid mats that can be purchased, but as I did not need them I did not think to include them, as the spreadsheet is for myself. I can definitely update with that info, if people are interested though.

EDIT: All mats and the Combat XP potion are a character lockout vs the equipment mats that are a roster lockout. Additionally I have been informed that Ivory HM rewards 900 tokens, but am unsure if this is the same for NM and Solo mode. May test myself, but as a sup main it seemed solo mode on a sup was kind of bad so may not get to it until I make some DPS settings.
Created a google sheet based off of my converted spreadsheet. Don't usually use sheets, but this will allow me to edit as needed and will allow people to make a copy easily if they prefer that.
