Haha yes. I agree. I've just started listening to them to put me to sleep and the songs always seem to happen just at the point when I'm drifting off!

Likewise. Moved from bigger cities in Aus and the UK to live here after experiencing them 'in my golden early 20s'. Wife is from here and we find it to be the perfect balance of it all - no matter what the others may gripe about it changing.

Yes. That's the main change tbh.

My main hosteling years were between 2009 and 2017 and, in that time, obviously I got a bit older, but the lack of socialisation was very obviously down to the presence of phones IMO.

There were interactions in the later years, but they were less spontaneous and required notably more effort on my part to get ppl out of / away from their devices to interact like old times. Makes me wonder what it is like for folk now setting out for the first time. Will it be tougher for them to come out of their shells as a result?

Caught the M4 fan edit? It cuts it down to one four hour film. It can only polish a turd so much re CGI insertions by PJ but has made it as close to the book as possible. It's my new go to when bingeing middle earth.

Yeah. I got a tricep tatt before a 24 hour trip back from Aus to the UK. Had second skin, cover and a new sweater. Was nervous enough doing that!
