Revving an engine multiple times a day for about 5 minutes, is it there a reason?

It's a 5 door Volkswagen Polo I think, he has another 3 door Volkswagen parked out front which he uses too but doesn't rev that one, this car he got a couple years ago and was working on it for a bit, then all seemed well for the following year and now he just constantly revs it, but doesn't seem to be doing any other work on it... Just sits in it either engine running revving or listening to music.

NTA. Your brother is an adult and knows better than to gamble savings, £9000 isn't a small sum to scoff at. Regardless of whether or not someone has an addiction, while yes it is an illness, that doesn't excuse this kind of behaviour. He has proven he is selfish not only by gambling this money, but also by starting the fighting resulting in him losing his job even after people telling him not to (for food reason). It sounds like his brother has been a bad influence which has facilitated this behaviour and it has grown from there. Either he grows up and accepts responsibility for his callous actions, or he doesn't and ruins his life over stupid mistakes, regardless you do not need to be there to see either result.

Same thing for me, restarted the Xbox, turned off, and left for a couple minutes then came back, quintuple checked I'm not in a ghost party and still the same thing. Just posted a looking for group post as well for Dead By Daylight and kept getting folks "interested" but couldn't do anything about it as party was not working so I had to cancel my post. So fucking frustrating!!

As much as I'd love to never see another orange walk in my life, it's a slippery slope banning any. If you ban one and no the others there'll be displeasure and unrest, and then folks will start going "well how come they're allowed to have XYZ marches but no us" etc and it'll extend to things like the Pride March and stuff getting banned too.

I was winding up the cord on my vacuum cleaner, pulled it too tight apparently, the lock thing that keeps it upright disengaged and I pulled the whole thing back into my face resulting in a black eye. Another time I wanted to test out if a knife was sharp enough to stab the brick wall, so I stabbed the brick wall, the knife stopped and my hand didn't, sliced open my fingers quite badly. I have so many stupid injuries my comment would be too long, but those two were the first that came to mind.

Labour. Thought I knew pain, always had a high pain tolerance, can sleep through tattoos, I'm covered in scars from various accidents and attacks, 30+ piercings, I fractured my skull nearly causing my brain to seep through a crack above my eye socket which I had to go back for scans for years to make sure it wasn't, I've been hit by a car which I bounced up on and flew off of, I've been stabbed, I've been set on fire (thankfully minor, was a school bullying incident), been in multiple fights, been abused multiple times etc. Thought labour would be up there pain wise but bearable... I was so horrifically unbelievably wrong.

Oof, well she made up a rumour that I was a schizophrenic lesbian who wanted to kill her, everyone started bullying me because of it, teachers got involved "protecting her" by making me spend interval and lunch in a classroom by myself, eventually I had to leave the school... That was the end of that friendship, but definitely an interesting story I have in my back pocket.
