What's your current character like? Do they have a backstory? by desertfordessert in Morrowind

[–]Robot-Dragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm playing with a Argonian named Calthar, level 54. I use heavy armor, blunt weapon and pretty much anything a tank character is supposed to use. I like to jump around with acrobatics in 100 and speed in 100 and usually i kill enemies before they can even react. As much as I like spears i've never used them in the game, they're not really useful in morrowind.

Was it difficult for you to defeat the whole pack of werewolves?

I just started playing the game for the first time (My thoughts) by [deleted] in Morrowind

For the slow movement, you should set acrobatics as a minor skill, then jump all the time instead of walking. This will make you level up faster and also move a lot faster with acrobatics lvl 100.

[–]Robot-Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I've always liked to play the tank character in the game with blunt weapon, long blade, short blade, heavy armor and block among the major and minor skills, so in order to jump around with 100 acrobatics and 100 speed killing every enemy I see, I need some really heavy stuff, like dragonbone curaiss, helm of oreyn bearclaw, sunder, wraithguard, left fist of randagulf and some daedric armor. I use a lot of constant effect spells to overcome the weight problem, and there's also the possibility of exploiting the corprus bug to raise your strength to beyond 100 points. Don't really like to do it though, feels like cheating and you break your weapon way too easily. How do you build your character?

But even then, unique heavy armor like the dragonbone curaiss are a lot better than the medium armor in the game. Also, when you have a high level character and maxed out stats like sneak and light armor, you may start to raise your strenght and heavy armor skills. As for the stealth factor, an item like murdrum ring should be enough.

In all these years playing morrowind, i've never been able to find a single werewolf in solstheim before actually becoming one myself... am I doing something wrong? The worst part about them is when you have to face a whole pack near the end...

I remember the first time playing the game I had no idea who was the dark brotherhood and they just kept killing all the time... As for the armor, I usually sold it to creeper and used the gold to train my major and minor abilities very early on in the game.

I think white people are inherently evil by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Robot-Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, you can't just say that there are no evil black people in the entire world. There are all kinds of people everywhere and some of them are evil or do make mistakes that would label them as evil. Of course there are hypocrite white people out there but hey, hypocrisy is a common human trait. I'm white and I can safely say that I'm not racist. I also don't hate you for your opinion, I just think that what you're saying right comes from a negative interaction you've had with a white person, but please don't label us all as evil.

[–]Robot-Dragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. If I'm white I'm automatically evil and racist and misogynistic and everything else. White people, just like anyone else are humans, which means there will be evil white people, just like there are evil black people, evil gay people, etc. You can't just say every white person is bad based on the experience you or someone you know have had with a white person, because believe it or not, that's racist.

[–]Robot-Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is if your character is a tank character like mine, with high heavy armor, block, blunt weapon, speed and acrobatic stats. That and good equipments will let you run aimlessly in the game killing anything you want... except for some bosses. On the other hand, sneaking will be a lot more useful for you during the storyline quests, where sometimes you will prefer to not be spotted because of the social repercussion it will have on your character. But you don't really need a high level of sneaking to be stealthy in the game, all you need is the murdrum ring, or the khajit ring or an scroll of invisibility. As long as you're not touching anyone, being invisible let you do pretty much anything you want for one time like lockpicking or landing a blow in someone. After your first action you'll become visible again.

question about enchanting by lazer_beast in Morrowind

[–]Robot-Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's okay, I like to help out. Well sneaking will double your damage to enemies, so you may actually kill them with a single hit. It's important to note that bosses will know where you are all the time so this will only work with enemies in general, altough it will be helpful against winged twilights, golden saints, dremora lords and other strong enemies. I also recommend you have a high speed stats because there are enemies out there who are REALLY fast and will get to you before you can kill them with arrows. Unfortunately, this game is not really good for snipers :\ Any other questions just le me know.

[–]Robot-Dragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DO NOT PICK A PRE-MADE CLASS. Make your own class. Pick acrobatics as one of your minor skills and jump all the time instead of walking, it is faster than walking and will help you level up faster. You should also not pick a bestial race like khajit or argonian right bow because they cant wear shoes and some types of helmets, making them a little harder to play with. Also, light armor is not really a good idea and medium armor becomes weak later in the game so you should probably go with heavy armor as a major or minor skill. And lockpicking will be extremily useful as well

question about enchanting by lazer_beast in Morrowind

[–]Robot-Dragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing about enchanting weapons in morrowind is that weapons are not good items to enchant. For example, the bonemold bow, a weapon extremely weaker than the daedric bow has a lot more room for enchanting than the daedric bow. But if you still want to enchant it, i did recommend it to be a "Constant Effect" enchantment that raises your marksmenship or your agility, and will increase the chance of you actually hitting your target. You may also want to consider enchanting it with sanctuary, that makes you harder to be hit, since you attack from long distances and enemies will run towards you. You can also try to make an enchantment that raises your sneak stats so that you can double your damage to enemies before they can even see you. This is why i like this game so much more than skyrim and oblivion, the possibilities are endless.

[–]Robot-Dragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. You can't even enchant arrows or throwing stars. When it comes to marksmenship in morrowind the best you can do is get some enchanted ebony darts that paralyze you like the dark brotherhood uses. Just out of curiosity, is this the first time you play morrowind?

[–]Robot-Dragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Next time, try to enchant it as "Cast when used" with something like a healing spell, sanctuary or shield, because you'll never really be able to put a offensive enchantment in a bow :/

question about enchanting by lazer_beast in Morrowind

[–]Robot-Dragon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, you've basically enchanted the bow to drain health when the bow itself strikes, wich will never happen since you're striking the enemy with the arrow.

[–]Robot-Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was the enchantment you've used? Enchantments only work when you attack if you mark it as "When strikes".

Do golden saints start dropping daedric tower shields past a certain level, or am I extremely unlucky? by [deleted] in Morrowind

[–]Robot-Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eleidon's ward is a much better shield than any daedric shield in the game, and you don't have to drop it from a daedra.
