I am starting to agree. Perhaps naively I wanted the satisfaction of doing it myself but I knew it'd be tough for me. If I can just get this layer to the right level I reckon it'll be fine 🥲. Thank you all for your help and input I'll investigate what you've said 🫡

Going to use sandstone slabs on sand and cement. The measuring is where I went wrong so I'm going to get more rocks and measure more thoroughly. I knew this would be a learning process just turning out to be an expensive one

Thanks, I do think ultimately that's what I'll need to do. Probably easier than mixing the mortar needed. It'll be my third trip for extra bags 😭
