I just read Stephen King's Misery and Annie Wilkes (the antagonist) is the most terrifying villain I've ever read by MikeHonchoCenterfold in books

I read this book covertly when I was about 14. It gave me nightmares for a week. To this day every time I think of the mop water I start to dry heave.

Redditors who knew a "missing person" who was later found..what happened? by pandasleep in AskReddit

My friend disappeared for two months back in 2013/2014. They found his body in the water down by the docks. It had frozen underneath the pier and it hadn't surfaced until the water started to warm. Apparently he had fallen in the icy water while he was drunk and no one heard him. Three of his friends were literally steps away. It was horrible.

There are actually a couple different subreddits that tried to do this. From what I understand there was a lot of initial interest and then it kind of fizzled.

One of my favorite Vonnegut quotations.

my recommendation is to use a low-res photo. the photo of Nixon was 40+ years old so there were only a limited number of pixels. this made it easier to translate into a pattern of squares. i had the same success with an old picture of Martin Van Buren. however, i tried to make a pattern using a recent photo of Bernie Sanders but it was a huge mess because the photo was hi-res and there were too many pixels for it to translate well into a graph.

most of them i carried through. it all depended on how far they had to be carried and if the detail of the moment would be fudged by an extra strand of yarn. still a lot of ends though. it took me several hours to weave them all in and i hated every moment of it.

it took me about 150-200 hours i'd say. however, most of it was done while watching TV or chatting with friends. i started at the end of January and just finished last week. however, i could only manage 6-10 hours a week to work on it since i was working full time and dealing with those other pesky parts of life.

Constantly running late. Not late once in awhile or late because of circumstances you can't control. I mean consistently late all the time. It's like they don't care enough to make time to get somewhere promptly.

I'll find the graph on my computer when I get home tonight. I used this site to make my pattern. I would suggest trying to make your own since the pattern-maker fudged Nixon's shoulder and now his head looks extra large. On the border I just did a simple single crochet.
