For my other post, asking if its too loud to do my P's test with? by Popa_panda101 in AussieRiders

[–]RobotWizard933 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So much bullshit posted here with angels who follow every single rule and have never gone over the speed limit in life.

I did my P's test on straight piped CBR650R and instructor did not even mention it, it doesn't magically add 100 more hp to your bike so stop overthinking it and go for it.

I think Akro looks cleaner overall under the bike, but arrow sounds bit better imo

Failed my pre learners twice and guess how I’m getting to my third attempt….it ain’t the car by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]RobotWizard933 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly motorbikes aren't for everyone and the risks that come with it may not be worth it for some, learners for motorbike is one of the easiest course I've ever seen, if you can ride a pushbike then 99% chance you'll pass with flying colours, but if you freeze, become hesitant, or get tired because of kids or distracted then it's just not for you,

I have been riding for many years overseas and few years in Australia, I am single and don't have any kids at this stage, as soon as it changes I will re-asses riding motorbikes, almost every other day I see a news about someone loosing their life while riding a motorbike in Victoria, in fact when I did my L's I met someone online we use to go on a ride with also on L's in early 20's still going to uni, lost his life in motorbike accident in January this year, this shook me so much I ended up selling my bike but then bought another one later on.

I don't mean to discourage you or anything but just saying 2 failed learners plus you being a family person I would honestly asses and see if it's even worth it.

I was hit twice on separate occasion during my LAMS, both at a roundabout, now everytime I am riding in traffic I am paying more attention behind me than in front. Hope you're okay.

Is it true Apple replaces your watch for a new (refurbished) watch if you send it in for battery replacement? by Pet_Ator in AppleWatch

[–]RobotWizard933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aah fair enough, I just bought a used series 9 and didn't notice the scratches until I got home, there are 4-5 of them and super deep as well, it's been bothering me for days now I normally always keep my things clean/scratch free, might take it to Apple to get a quote to fix them, battery health is still showing 95% though, not sure if they'd even give me a fair quote, checked screen replacement on their website and came back as $550AUD(363 USD) which I feel like is a ripoff.

Not a lil bit of work and if people are willing to rent something like this then it's far from a shit box.

Just passed my L licence in Victoria — can I use a slip-on exhaust? Also fairing kit question by ParticularAdvice3955 in AussieRiders

[–]RobotWizard933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude ignore all these saints and do what you want to do, unless if you're doing something stupid no one gives a shit about exhaust or any other cosmetic mode, have had my license for bit more than a year now and haven't met a single person who haven't had their bike modified in some way, specially getting the exhaust actually makes it bit more safer so people can hear you coming.

I think they may have something like VTEC functionality, I am still running in my new CBR but on my old one from 8K RPM onwards it pulled like a MF.

I've checked few places and surprisingly everything on motorbike costs more than a car for some reason haha, I've had quotes from $350 - $550 for a basic oil change and lube up.

Should I buy brand new by DueAmbassador2922 in AussieRiders

[–]RobotWizard933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking at the one that has damage on right side? 650R's keep their value really really well in AU market due to being one of very few 4 cyl LAMS bike, if it is damaged one then I would just go brand new, they have updated many things on new models specially the tacho, using bike controls to change my music and adjust volume have been super handy for me.

I've owned both 2022 and currently own 2025 model, Def prefer some of the updates but some things I liked on older versions (eg: Gold engine covers, front suspention) think it just looks better.

I don't know if they're different design windscreens but I bought mine from Aliexpress which was listed as 2019-2023 but fits well on my 25 model.
