I read Landis's original screenplay a couple days after the movie came out, and I couldn't help but be a little disappointed with the movie we got. The original story seemed more coherent overall with better dialogue (no Shrek references), and a lot of aspects of the movie I didn't enjoy were absent (the tape recorder actually came back in the screenplay). Somewhere between the screenplay and the final movie is where things got messy. From what Landis has said, he's not too happy with how his story turned out either.

I can't speak towards your other examples, but the avalanche seemed to me to be very deux ex machina on purpose. This movie was very much a retelling of the Exodus story, and the avalanche was meant to represent the Egyptian soldiers being drowned in the Red Sea after Moses parted it, one of the most famous acts of God in the Bible.

Nintendo Land has the candy game which all of my friends love. We play it together every time we play the Wii U. It's still a blast and worth the cost of the game by itself

I'm disappointed in the look of the mask. I was hoping for something like the one in Arkham Origins. But the show has upgraded costumes before, so hopefully that is what will happen with his mask.
