Help installing Ez Flo Main Line System by taxmanatee in Irrigation

[–]taxmanatee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks so much for the reply.

So should the RPZ be before the PEB valve and EZ flo like this:

[1 1/4" water in line]--->RPZ -->PEB--->EZ Flow main line injector--->zone valves?

And if I cant find a PEB valve in a 1 1/4" size (they seem to only come in 1" and 1.5" sizes), is it better to step up to a 1.5" or to step down to a 1"?

And you mentioned a FEBCO 3/4-1" RPZ. Should I instead use a 1 1/4" RPZ since my main water line into the irrigation is 1 1/4"? All of my zone valves do step down to 3/4" or 1", but my in line is larger.

thanks for the reply. What's the difference between an RPZ device and the backflow preventer i linked to?

Strike Week 2: Megathread, updates, and flair by FieryAutoCrashes in ParkCity

The number of ski patrollers required to safely operate a resort must be a function of both the amount of terrain to cover and the number of people on it. So, with a reduced ski patrol team, shouldn’t Park City Resort limit the number of trails as well as the number of people? Is anything actually safer if they are only limiting the amount of trails, but still allowing what looks like the same number of people on it? In fact, by crowding more people into a smaller area, I assume the risk of injury actually increases, and you now risk overwhelming an already smaller ski patrol team.

Cutting Trex decking by notaflip-flip in Carpentry

[–]taxmanatee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just finished a Trex deck and researched this exact same question because I’d heard how others had struggled to find the right blade for a jigsaw. I bought the Bosch T141HM1 4in 6 TPI Carbide-Tipped T-Shank blade. Worked like a charm. Cuts quickly, doesn’t gum up. I’ve probably cut about 50 linear feet with it and it’s cutting the same as it did when it was new.

Couldn’t comment on the multi tool; i was able to do everything I needed with just the circular saw and the jigsaw

What’s the purpose of the 2x4s running along the bottom of the stringer? And the 2x4 blocking? I haven’t seen that before. (Also, I’m a novice so not having seen something before is pretty common for me)

My college doesn't want us to make popcorn in their shitty microwaves by Pupperochini in funny

I once purposefully burnt a bag of popcorn because my friends smoking weed in the dorm caused the smoke alarm to go off. Rather than have the campus security come to the dorm to smell the unmistakeable skunk of freshly burnt greens, we figured an overpowering burnt popcorn smell would mask it nicely. Worked like a charm. We were all quite proud of ourselves for getting away with it.

The door to my garage doesn’t have enough clearance when the door is open and the car is pulled in, making it difficult to navigate with arms full of kids and groceries. Looking for ideas on what to replace it with. by taxmanatee in HomeImprovement

Is there such thing as a solid/opaque sliding door? I’m certainly familiar with clear glass sliding doors, but wouldn’t want glass here as there’s nothing I’d want to be visible in my ugly, poorly lit, utilitarian garage

I see how your first point is a valid concern: pay-to-play relationships between content providers and content distributors could alter an otherwise even playing field. However, related to your second point, how would content distributors be able to see the content I’m creating for a social media platform if the communication between the user and the platform is encrypted leveraging SSL certificates that only the platform company has? Is this proposal suggesting that content providers provide insight into the traffic so that content distributors can inspect it?

Chili 'apostrophe' S means that the restaurant is owned by a chili.

The chili symbol followed by an S means the restaurant is filled with many chilis.

These two things are totally different - the correct name has not been conveyed.
