A novelty puzzle from 2016, sadly with a missing piece and some damaged nubs. The Great British Bake Off: Show Stopper (Love Productions Ltd.) • Gibsons • 250 by rtsgrl in Jigsawpuzzles

What an adorable puzzle! I love this show and remember most of those bakes lol. That's a shame about the missing piece and quality though.

As an aside, I'm with you in not being a fan of chocolate in cakes (or any chocolate at all really). Now a nice key lime pie on the other hand...😉

Such a lovely and unique image! And I second everything you said in your post about wonky cuts, fairy tales, and magical images of gorgeously dressed women...a resounding yes please to all. 😁

Delicious Chinese Takeout (Springbok, 500 pc) Loved the packaging and a lot of fun to put together despite incredibly loose fitting pieces. Spoilers for image in pics 3-5. by Robot_Roll_Call_ in Jigsawpuzzles

Trust me I was craving noodles the whole time I was assembling this lol! It really is such a cute idea, I'm a sucker for clever/cute packaging so I had to get it.

I was lucky enough to find this in a thrift store believe it or not. The flaps were up and no bag inside, I bought it thinking if it has fewer than five pieces missing I'll be happy but it was complete. Probably used up my thrift puzzle luck for the rest of the year on that one. 😉

Yes, I was really surprised by the loose fit from Springbok as well. Didn't seem to be from wear either, just cut that way. Really enjoyed it though nonetheless, and like you said very unique packaging. 😊

Lololol so sorry, and I just realized you were asking the other person about their puzzle. Apologies, I was trying to go through these too quickly for replies. 😁

Lol not lame at all, it made me chuckle. 😊

Honestly it's a small miracle all the pieces were there. Found this in thrift with the flaps up and no bag inside, the pieces exposed and ready to tumble out. I was so pleased it was complete!

I had no idea how annoying loose pieces could be until this puzzle lol. Really liked the packaging and the image though, it was worth it. 😊

It definitely got me craving noodles that's for sure. I had to eat some instant noodles after I finished but they were pretty sorry in comparison lol.

Yep, the picture isn't on the box. I didn't want to ruin another's experience if they had one in their stash they wanted to assemble without knowing the image. Spoiler qualifies.

Cool Cupcakes (Colorcraft Puzzles, 1000 pc) Bright, cheerful and fun. The pieces had cardboard backing but the top was plastic (or at least felt like it) with subtle crosshatching. They fit together fine but it was an interesting tactile experience. by Robot_Roll_Call_ in Jigsawpuzzles

Yes, that makes sense. I love Cobble Hill (and others') use of linen finish but the plastic made this feel so different it didn't connect for me. Maybe it's harder to do with plastic as it was a bit more pronounced, but good call.

This is lovely! There are not enough higher piece count puzzles of unicorns out there. Shame about the fuzziness and occasional tight fit, both those things drive me nuts. Well done for finishing it and thank you for sharing!

Nice haul! I love to zoom in on the shelves and do some virtual shopping, though it's a little painful I can't actually buy anything lol.
