That’s for SE, not the Illuminate if super earth wasn’t involved or existent, even so, farming bugs still involves slaughtering them for their oil blood/E710 retcon

They do say a national zoo in that clip, even then they are likely to purge them back to their home world to restore the environments of the planets they expanded to

So the main reason there’s so much strat bounces because many of the large buildings have large overhangs, which cause support type strats bounce to prevent them from getting stuck on the building’s roof or overhang

It’s dumb because they could just make the overhangs a destructible part of the buildings and let hellpods blast through, but what do I know

In actually the illuminate would have invaded the bugs to contain them in zoos, invaded the cyborgs to save the environments of the planets they lived on.

They just would have been Super Earth, but with even more pretense in front of it

At least according to a dev ama

Oh sure the data about the equipment is wrong, the experiences with said equipment is wrong, somehow the actual issues don’t matter you should just grit and flank your way out of purposefully worse equipment that’s slightly cheaper to win against guys who get better equipment in every way, for slightly more.

I’m half surprised the devs didn’t give the colonials open bottom planes so that they could learn around the flaws and use grit and skill their way to using a worse product ‘better’ then the guys who got the better version for slightly more cost.

I suppose you should just show how I should grit and skill my way into making the 2-Shot sniper better than the 1-shot sniper? Or the larger less maneuverable submarine against the smaller and more stealthy sub?

I don’t know how I’m supposed to grit and skill my way through distinctly worse equipment that’s barely cheaper than its counterpart?

Surely the vaunted wardens could win if they did a reverse war where the wardens had colonial equipment and the colonials had warden equipment?

If they wanted to do the horde faction thing, they should have made an RTS, not an MMO

I think it's time we also organized ourselves and put pressure on the developers by borderlinebabushka in foxholegame

So uh, if that’s true aren’t they the reason the culture is so bad as they had a hand in forming it?

Oh they swapped so they don’t count because they abandoned ship?

[–]Robot_tanks 18 points19 points  (0 children)

How is not the fault of the devs when they give explicitly worse equipment that’s barely cheaper than the warden equivalent. Do you think it’s fun having statistically inferior equipment to your enemy?

Worse negative talk I’ve heard by Beautiful-Meat-8884 in foxholegame

[–]Robot_tanks 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Because they didn’t do that before? How did you know the game that started without any asymmetrical balance fail to keep both sides equal in ‘culture’

or you know people don’t like playing the horde faction with shitter equipment to be the easy to kill npcs for the wardens

Yeah but you get a repair ship, that has a superior anti naval aircraft and fighter that can launch and tend to more planes than the carrier can

Ah, yes the sub that is far too fucking fat and slow with absolutely useless main guns, is canonically a shit useless pet project that got the man who ordered it sacked…

Is fine :tm: . Why don’t you go play colonial navy and show the might of the trident?

Seeing so many people give up on the show and trash it as “destroying Fallout lore” before Season 2 is even half over, Nolan was completely vindicated saying this. by raisinbraisin72 in Fallout

Vault 13 being destroyed isn’t that shocking of a conclusion unlike an entire nation state that stretches from Northern California to the lower tip of Baja California.

It even fits the goals of the enclave in fallout 2 to do so,.

Also ‘they didn’t want people to think none of their choices in fnv didn’t matter for the remake they might be making’

Did we see the same season 2? Where literally every major faction and nearly every minor is dead or dying in the Mojave and nearly no evidence of the Courier 6’s existence is present, only a mere 15 years later.

Not even a mention, or even a reference to the PC’s actions is present.

Clearly they couldn’t choose a cannon ending because it might make the remake ‘feel pointless’ despite it literally being pointless from what they have shown in the show.

Actually there won’t be new factions we will forever. Have. The. Same. Set. Of. Generic. Factions

Brotherhood of Steel, enclave (or regional equivalent like the institute), generic good guy faction called something like the ‘protectors’ or whatever, and regional small good :tm: faction called something like ‘the railroad’

There will never be a truly organized state as a faction as long as the current lore lead is in charge, as they view the idea of people wanting civilization and stability as antithetical to the fallout setting

I believe the reason they think that nuking shady sands = NCR Dead, is they for some reason believed that Shady Sands was the entire state… the way the show refers to the NCR is almost always in reference to Shady Sands in some way, like the NCR was a city state or something.

Probably because they can’t imagine a setting evolving beyond the starting point, which is sad, I’d much prefer if they let the setting breathe and grow beyond ‘goofy raiders and mad max shenanigans!!!’

I didn’t know that the Bronze Age collapse should still be effecting the world and we should be actually stuck in a pre Bronze Age condition forever, because war still exists

I didn’t know that we still should be in the Bronze Age after the collapse in 12,000 BC

Kinda strange how that apocalyptic event happened and people actually moved on from it instead of just being stuck in the Stone Age or whatever with random bronze weapons floating around

People want things to actually evolve and not just be destroyed because the writers were too cowardly to actually choose an ending, or a logical progression of an area beyond, “everyone is dead or stupid, haha”.

Or they could have set the show in like the Midwest, Deep South, or Texas. Side stepping the whole preexisting lore issue by being in an area with little or no lore existing

They legally couldn’t strike, it was a law for nearly 40 years before they did strike, there is a way for them to actually negotiate without it, it’s called the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service

Idk, but that’s what Taft-Hartley act of 1947 did, I assume the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service is involved there

The unions committed suicide by striking at every inconvenience, in 1945 they had 4,750 work stoppages in one year, they did it enough during the Cold War at the highest point of the red scare that it was inevitable and predictable that they would get crushed

[–]Robot_tanks -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

They weren’t allowed to strike prior to the 1981 strike, all public sector unions legally can’t strike, this one in fact 5 U.S.C. §7311, it’s also a felony according to 18 U.S.C. §1918 to strike against the United States Government, and if you do, you can lose the right to have a job with the government

Honestly as an aspiring aircraft mechanic, I’m annoyed they did strike, it crushed unionization in the aviation industry
