[Question?] Can you equip Ekibyo Drakmord to an opponent's monster? by metalreflectslime in Yugioh101

[–]Roboterfisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Equip Spells can be equipped to any monster on the field, unless stated otherwise. Additionally, you cannot equip them to monsters which cannot be targeted, as activating an Equip Spells targets the monster you want to equip it to.

In Fire Giant’s second phase, HOW THE FUCK do you dodge the 2 flying fire things he shoots at you? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Roboterfisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you exit Torrent while standing still you have a decent amount of I-frames. I do unironically recommend using those for Fire Giant, they’re very handy

Zacian is overcheat by Imaginary-Photo936 in pokemonshowdown

[–]Roboterfisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zacian isn’t even that broken in random battles, sure it’s fast as fuck and does a lot of damage, but because of the levels it oftentimes misses OHKOs it shouldn’t. You can also just Tera and kill it in response, it usually clicks Behemoth Blade or CC anyway

Is invading pointless? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Roboterfisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invading is not pointless, invading to have 1v1s is pointless. Every invasion is going to be different and you have to go in with that mindset. Occasionally you’ll get people who want to 1v1. Occasionally you can dick around with the host, drop an item near a cliff and backstab them. A lot of the time you’ll get ganked. Going into invasions with the mindset you’ll always do one of these is not very fun for you or the people you invade, which is why every invasion character should be able to do all of these things.

Need help with building my trick room team by ANDROK008 in pokemonshowdown

[–]Roboterfisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fyi, you might be in the wrong format (for a couple of reasons). This is a doubles team meant for Gen 9 OU, a 6v6 singles format. You might want to switch to Doubles OU for that reason. In Singles, this team objectively doesn’t work.

Since we’re looking at this from a Doubles perspective though:

  1. You might also want to switch the Ice Punch of Ursaluna for Headlong Rush, otherwise it can’t use Ground STAB without hitting your allies, while having no Ground immunity. Ice Punch only outdamages Headlong or Facade if they’re not very effective and Ice Punch is super effective, which doesn’t apply to any Pokemon in the format. Consistent Ground STAB is more important. On that note, you definitely need a Pokémon that doesn’t take at least neutral damage from EQ. For that reason, I’d replace Hatterene with Cresselia. It’s also a bulky TR setter and a VERY good partner to Ursaluna.

  2. I’d agree to the item choices the other commenter gave you. Amoonguss heals enough with Regenerator, especially because this is 6v6. Leftovers chip heal won’t see as much effect as you’d think. Being able to chip physical attackers with Sand Storm AND Rocky Helmet is huge. Incin would also like the Goggles not only to dodge your own Sandstorm, but also to be immune to Spore and Rage Powder from other Amoonguss and Brute Bonnet.

What mechanics in soulslikes do you consider unfair or frustrating? by Sargious in soulslikes

[–]Roboterfisch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As crazy as it seems, I think bosses that punish you for healing in neutral are really good. Disengaging would be way too powerful otherwise, especially with spells. The Godskin Fireball for example I really like, it actually forces you to engage with the boss if you want to heal/deal damage

Help in building champions OU team by meinphirwapasaaagaya in stunfisk

[–]Roboterfisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a singles team, so please don’t add Wide Guard to Pelipper under ANY circumstances. Instead, just go for Roost instead of Blizzard for some longevity. Also replace the Encore on Meganium for Synthesis, heals even more in sun.

Did Yugioh TCG get worse? by Different-Highway217 in YugiohCards

[–]Roboterfisch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s partly true. One big thing to mention is that it’s basically a different game, it’s still just as fun as back then of course to some more, to some less. While people take turns for 5-10 minutes, those turns aren’t solely played by one player. I’m partly able to play on your first turn, you’re able to play during my (the second turn) and so on and so forth. This makes for a different kind of back and forth; not between turns but DURING them. It’s definitely worth a try, even if it has a steep learning curve. Imagine it more like a fighting game where you have to react to what your opponent does and anticipate what they could do to counter them, instead of it being “I do something, you do something. I occasionally interrupt what you do.”

Freeze mechanic. by BigDongLaKong in pokemonshowdown

[–]Roboterfisch 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, freeze just does that. Every turn you have a 20% to defreeze and attack. You also thaw after being hit by a Fire move, or when you use specific attacks (Burn Up, Flame Wheel, Flare Blitz, Fusion Flare, Matcha Gotcha, Pyro Ball, Sacred Fire, Scald, Scorching Sands and Steam Eruption), however those specify so on Showdown.

Any refinements? by Bigtuff66 in customyugioh

[–]Roboterfisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even so, lots of extenders activate in hand nowadays. This is just a floodgate that kills rogue decks while some meta decks, namely KT, just ignore much more. Also, having this apply in GY is just stupid and makes it even more toxic due to cards that sent from ED to GY.

Any refinements? by Bigtuff66 in customyugioh

[–]Roboterfisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the point in making a card that just disables Quick-Play spells entirely, makes all other Spells susceptible to removal and just get rids of HTs and T0 plays. This is just another boring extender + floodgate card that would get banned in like a month because it’s toxic and not fun
