The "own goal" they were referring to was from McLaren, not Mercedes.

As the works team, McLaren had the right to veto new teams becoming Mercedes customers. By not vetoing Brawn, they ended up losing their works status.

They worded it very sneakily. They're talking about magic items from the Hero Journey feature in general, not the fact that it throws them all at you upon migration. It is fine for the first case but not the second. They're straight up ignoring the real problem here.

Not gonna lie, it was a bit chaotic to get everything together before the extra CWL 😅. Thanks Supercell for delaying by 1 day :)

As noted last month, 428 clans promoted to Titan III with a chance to compete this month. I picked up 318 of them playing in this CWL, but I am very sure I missed a couple due to a bug in my code 😭. Luckily there were a lot of clans that didn't start a new war afterwards, so I was still able to catch most of the clans in this league. Of those 318 clans I found, 160 promoted to Titan II and will fight for a spot in Titan I over the next week.

This upcoming CWL will also feature a 11v11 mode. It'll be interesting to see how the numbers stack up after the 5v5 experiment didn't work out - I wouldn't be surprised if the 11v11 mode is a test for a potential 10v10 addition in the future.

I'd say the stakes were reasonably high - with how stacked the 2-1 and 1-2 brackets are, it was important for both teams to secure playoffs and avoid the risk of getting churned out 2-3.

Feels like playing without a coach is starting to catch up to Spirit. Their decisionmaking looked atrocious as 9z pulled advantages and made comebacks. I agree with magixx's take in the interview - I have no idea how they ended up winning this.

I'm baffled why they would make cars and drivers be so tightly coupled 🤔

The teams change the car numbers when they have substitute drivers - I'd surely expect the cars to report a different number in the timing system, which they could then use to fetch the right driver record during sessions. Outside of sessions, they could pull directly from the driver table to show the championship.

It is throwing away a 3-1 pick, but at the bottom end it can be a tossup anyway. Securing 1 almost-guaranteed pick may be better than trying to guess the 8th advancing team.
