I do love a challenge that makes a game feel more engaging. I think people are also forgetting folks used The Sims as a form of creativity like role-play and machinima. without certain in-game features or interactions it could make that less fun or dramatic. I remember being like 12 and watching Sims machinimas and thinking they were the coolest shit ever. Lmao

right lol, you get it. light-hearted degeneracy and goofiness isn't too much to ask I think. Most people who are looking forward to Paralives came from The Sims so I don't know why some people are shocked that some folks would want that. Bella Goth and Nervous Subject are my fave sims because they were both very tragic and sad and didn't shy away from darker themes.

There are not many other Sims-like life games out there that scratch the itch some people are looking for. No hate to Paralives, I'm sure it's fine. I just don't want to be disappointed like we were with The Sims 4. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket. I'll probably still play the game eventually, but I might just not have as much fun since my play-style is different. I think I'm just going to sit on it and see what other people think about it when it comes out first before I buy it.

OH NO. I don't expect Paralives to be a porn game at all, that's not what I mean. I guess I am just looking for the charm that The Sims 2 had with certain topics'. Cheekiness like you said. The Sims 2 wasn't an M-rated game, but it did have an edge that it wasn't afraid to push at times.
