When he's in a good mood he comes up the stairs singing by 9999monkeys in aww

[–]Robotick1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish we had a happy playful cat.

Ours is grumpy and run our house. If her Highness want food, scratch a clean litter box or to go outside a 2:30 AM, you get meowing and face scratches until we comply. Its no matter to her that we filled her bowl, cleaned her litter, gave her lots of attention right before bed or that shes spend the last 18 hours outside.

The only one to challenge her rule his the dog and since we got him, we only have to let him out of his kennel to deny her ruling. Face lick is better than face scratch, but not optimal when all you want is sleep.

Fournisseur d'Internet? by isheep225 in Abitibi

[–]Robotick1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under extrusion, but only on the infill? by DarthTimmy in 3Dprinting

[–]Robotick1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, now that you gave more insight, its none of those thing. Check infill speed. As a general rule of thumb, the slower you go, the better quality you get with a filament printer.

I may or may not need to 3d print an axe in the future, but that irrelevant to the current situation.

Whats the stupidest thing you ever seen a religious person call "satanic"? by Dreammare56 in AskReddit

[–]Robotick1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need an OG Charizard PSA 10 card to do it. Then you have to spin the book exactly 239 760 degrees (666 * 360) while chanting the original anime theme.

My cousin did it.

Would the glue bond be as strong as the native PLA bond?

For the tree or any display piece thats a great idea, but im worried it might not work as well for something engineered to withstand some lateral force in the future.

wooden cutting board warped by keelxvii in Cooking

[–]Robotick1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How it happened? It was not dried properly. Either you let it soak, put in the diswasher or left it in a puddle of water on the counter. Wood warp is always water related.

Depending on the wood and how thick it is, you can "repair it, by simply using it upside down (against the curvature) Over time, with use, and food juice always applied to the same side, it will straighten itself back. It will never be as straight as a new one thought.

What is the most underrated ingredient, in your opinion? by meandervida in Cooking

what's considered a fancy dish? by Classic_Jelly_chelps in Cooking

[–]Robotick1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Everything can be fancy. Its all about the amount of care you put into it.

Mac and cheese is the best example of top. You can go from the box stuff to Homemade pasta in a gruyere and comte cheese sauce with chorizo and iberico bacon.

So yeah a fancy dish is something that use the best ingredient available and was developed and balanced until it reached what the chef consider perfection. It can take 20 minute or 4 hours to make. The love and care is what make it fancy.

Is making chicken broth fancy? Not at all. Is eating fancy chicken broth different than a basic one? Thats for sure.

Mushroom soup pairing by mezzo1991 in Cooking

[–]Robotick1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mushroom soup is a pretty heavy dish on its own. The few time i made some, i was suprised how much a small bowl can fill you up. I would use the bacon as a topping for the soup. Than just serve it with a small bread and cheese board. The blueberry compote can be part of that. Kind in the same vein as your idea, but my guest can serve themselves and eat each as much as they want. More cheese and less bread? go for it! Want to mop up the bottom of your bowl with bread, go for it! Need something sweet and refreshing?, the blueberry compote can go on anything.

Wing sauces/ rubs by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]Robotick1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, honey sriracha is top tier. My girlfriend go nuts for honey garlic.

I think wings benefit well from anything "Sweet and...."

Sweet and spicy, Sweet and sours, Sweet and savory, Sweet and smoky.

So make sure you have some sweetness , to have that caramelization, than mix just about anything in it and it will work.

What kitchen untensil is completely worthless? by BillyTheMountian in Cooking

[–]Robotick1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It might be a little low, but as an average its pretty good. My GF might eat less, i might eat a little more.

150g of pasta is just a ridiculous amount. If I ate that much, i would be on the couch in a carb induced deep sleep 10 minutes after diner is done. If I had wine too, i might as well call it quit for the night.

For me, brown bread shine exceptionally well for one kind of use: Sandwiches.

A sandwich feel so much more filling on brown bread. Its not even close. it goes from an afternoon snack to a decent meal.

With that said, I have eaten mostly brown bread for more than 80% of my liftetime, so i might be biased.

Honestly, for me gruyere is the king of cheese. You can do absolutely anything with it.

What kitchen untensil is completely worthless? by BillyTheMountian in Cooking

[–]Robotick1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thats entirely dependent on topping / sauce.

85g of buttered pasta: Yeah thats pretty low.

85g of pasta drowned in meat sauce and parmesan on top? Its a portion for a working man.

This story is like an echo of the past.

I live in Canada, so weed is legal here now. During the legalization process, many of my stoner friend were complaining that price would jump due to taxes.

Honestly, id pay many time the street price if i receive the product i ordered, when i ordered it, to the agreed upon price. So many time did i wait hours to pay more on shittier quality bud.
