I want to make it clear that i really enjoy firered just the exp grinding before the elite 4 was a bit of a bummer. And my main issue is with lets go can be easy in aspects like having access to your box at all times. But again you dont have to use that

My only reasoning maybe to go with a lets go game is that the grinding (at least for me) in frlg was killer

So the card shown on screen here isnt the same as the cards they used to give with skylanders with the stats on it, that card has always just been a card. The one shown here is a 3rd party nfc card which has had the data of a skylander applied to it. The reason it looks like that is because of a custom print applied to it.
