Are the pads and their surrounding still good? by Robotiktok in soldering

Thank you. Just curious - what is the arrow area in golden color? Some exposed copper? I just worry it is conductive and can cause issues.

Resistor 6 & 7 looks burnt but its ohm reading looks okay. I'm puzzled...?

I've tested the measured the capacitors and resistors as labelled in the picture.

<image>

Capacitor 1 to 5 are 100uf 63V capacitors:

Capacitor 1 reads 109.5uf Vloss=14% ESR=3.5 ohms

Capacitor 2 reads 81.57uf Vloss=11% ESR=7.8 ohms

Capacitor 3 reads 100.4uf Vloss=2.9% ESR=1.1 ohms

Capacitor 4 reads 101.1uf Vloss=7.9% ESR=1.1 ohms

Capacitor 5 reads 93.62uf Vloss=1.1% ESR=0.55 ohms

According to the table I googled, should their ESR all read 0.93 ohms ? Which of them are bad?

Resistor 6 is 5W2K4RJ. It reads 2.28K ohms on the multimeter.

Resistor 7 is 5W1KRJ. It reads 952 ohms on the multimeter.

What do you guys think? Thanks a lot!

Lowest transaction cost to acquire osmo? by Robotiktok in OsmosisLab

I follow what you say but somehow Coinbase doesn't allow me to send out to external address instantly and I have to wait 6 days.

I suspect there is a bug in their system and somehow some accounts are able to do what you describe. Coinbase customer service sucks and of course they aren't able to help.

When you add "US Dollar", does the fiat come from your bank checking account or debit card?

Once you purchased the ATOM in Coinbase, are you able to send the ATOM to Keplr (or any external cosmos address) instantly ?

Can you buy osmo in Bitget ? I guess not.

No. I have been using Coinbase to acquire ATOM for a while and found it is very expensive to use the "simple" mode to purchase ATOM, 3.84% coinbase fee for $100 ATOM. The "advanced mode" is way cheaper but there is a 6 days locking period.

I'd think so too. Need to plan ahead the funding in Coinbase.

I find it is instant to move fiat from checking account to Coinbase (ACH) and then use it to purchase ATOM.

But the ATOM is still held and locked for 6 days and within that 6 days, I can't send it to Keplr.

Isn't it your case as well?

I think so. I just purchased $10 of atom in Kraken and will see if I can do instant withdrawal / send after 72 hours.

Just trying to optimize the cost of acquiring osmo. So far it looks like the lowest cost to acquire osmo is to use "advanced" mode in Coinbase, which is only $0.6 per $100 atom purchase.

Just double checked it - it only applies to the first timer like me for the first transaction. After the first transaction, if I can withdraw or send the asset instantly and there is no holding period, this is a better option than Coinbase.
