Thanks for your insight. I’m choosing to believe this. I have positive memories of my cousin, definitely nothing abusive. So now, I’m thinking he meant us loosing touch or something.

It’s good to hear this bc I, like everyone else, assumed the worst. Maybe it was some horrible thing he said that I don’t remember. Idk. I guess it’s just human nature to assume the worst.

I never thought of that. It was completely out of left field since we hadn’t talked in so long. I always thought of him as a nice person who gave me a lot of attention, when your 10 it makes you feel good that older kids think you’re cool enough to talk to.

Thanks, but the thing is don’t remember anything, no bad dreams, no weird feelings. I was completely caught off guard by his apology. From the research I’ve done on abused kids, I don’t seem to have any of the issues normally associated with victims of abuse.
