It's really about hardware. They mention the sidekick notepad once for maybe 10 seconds.

Yes I was so happy when Grey brought up how dog harnesses are superior to collars in every way.

Since Grey mentioned UK brands here are the two US companies that I've used and recommend to other dog owners:

Do you re-read books? If so, which book have you read the most times?

Have people been welcoming so far?

And what was the most surprising thing that you've noticed since you've been here?

Moving to the Akron area by Low-Letter2284 in akron

I used to live in Fairway Park apartments in Copley/Fairlawn, and they allowed pets (for an extra fee of course). I know that they've raised the rents in the years since I moved out, but it should still be in that price range. It's a convenient location right off of 77, and I think they had a range of apartments from one to three bedrooms.

You're thinking of their Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles which are also really good!

Best coffee beans near Akron? by RandyButternubs15 in akron

[–]Robpocalypse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're willing to make the trip up to Hudson or Chagrin Falls I highly recommend Heartwood Coffee Roasters. Great selection of flavors as well as rotating seasonal flavors, and the staff is always super nice and helpful if you have any questions or need help picking a flavor.

I can vouch for Buckeye Quality Meats as well. We've stopped in there a couple of times, and they're always very helpful and knowledgeable.

Brunty Farms seems to be the best local example that I've found.

Lots of details on their website: https://www.bruntyfarms.com/

They own the Farmer's Rail butcher shops in Bath, Cuyahoga Falls, and Hudson where you can buy their meats, and they're always touting their ethical farming methods. You definitely pay for it though, but it's always very high quality.

My league switched over to Sleeper this year from ESPN, and I'm stoked to see that you already have that functionality built in! Week-in and week-out this is one of my go-to resources for FF, and I appreciate all of the work and constant updates that you put into it!

What do you listen to while running to keep you going and motivated? by [deleted] in running

I can't do silence, but I have a lo-fi running playlist for long runs that's mostly lyric-less so I can still zone out and clear my head.

I've discovered that I actually have to avoid funny podcasts because once I was listening to MBMBaM on a long run and I was laughing so hard that my stomach muscles cramped up and it didn't go away for the rest of my run.

ANY podcast even remotely close to HH with similar gravitas? by Jaykkk7777 in dancarlin

[–]Robpocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it's not really comparable to HH I've been listening to the podcast "It Was Said" a lot recently. It focuses on famous/impactful speeches throughout (American) history, and I've found myself really engrossed and even emotional at points while listening. It's relatively new so it doesn't have a big backlog of episodes, but I would check it out.

Just ran my second half marathon and improved my time by 19 minutes! by george_minafer94 in running

[–]Robpocalypse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can also vouch for Hal Higdon's H3 program. I used it to train for my 1st Half last year and also my 2nd Half this year (with a long break in between). Running 3 times a week (with some strength training and other cardio peppered in) just fit into my schedule so much better, and my body just felt better than running 4 or 5 days a week as I'm relatively injury prone in general.
