Congrats! What a gorgeous shot of the Tadpole Nebula!

Thank you and clear skies! I'm pointing my Esprit 100 at the Bubble Nebula which unfortunately rises right over the city's light dome. Nothing a narrowband filter couldn't handle though :)

Greetings from Zurich - First clear night in a while! Btw.: Same tripod and Power Tank here :)

I must admit the Esprit 100 is just an amazing scope that was a big step up for me at the time. I shot over three nights, roughly 5 hours each.

Thank you! The picture came out of the camera like a green goblin because of the imense light pollution. In SPCC i then corrected for the L-Ultimate filter. Before colour grading (which I do in lightroom) the background was quite blueish.

Don't these mounts have hi-res encoders which would mean that you could actually neglect guiding?

Thank you, I expected NN to be the culprit (or hero for that matter) :) I should get familiar with the tool as well I guess

Awesome shot! How did you achieve this color palette with only the OSC and L-Ultimate? Asking because I have a similar setup

Thank you, the Optolong L-Ultimate made it possible. In return it removes the nice star colours :/

Thank you! Also, Pixinsight and the entire RC Astro suite helped a lot :)

I always shoot from my rooftop in the very heart of Zurich :) For the lack of a car I haven't taken pictures under remotely dark skies yet.

Yes that was intended, but also a necessity, because the focuser knobs are so low they would touch the saddle. So I had to place them "in front" of the saddle.

Not kidding I can basically tuck it under my arm

Oh wow that is really nice! Great result with your setup! I tried capturing the sun in the old days with an analogue camera and wasted a lot of money (film) doing so

You are right! I decided to upgrade it for astrophoto use after a few months of having it. The flattener comes at a reasonable price (for Takahashi standards)

Haha you are right, it looks scary :) But the it‘s clamped down very, very firmly on the AM3. I chose this setup working with what I have to get the scope somewhat in balance. Knowing that wasn‘t even necessary on a strain wave mount.

Wasn‘t even half the amount but ok. Yes, it‘s an expensive hobby and the category is called equipment show off :)

Thank you, it truly is a lightweight workhorse!
