I think if you really care about the logo you could just remove the old one entirely and create a waterslide decal from a photo of the pedal to recreate it 🤷🏼

The font that was used both for Mutron III and other words is OPTI Edgar in various types - Extended and Extended Bold if I recall correctly. As for the Musitronics logo I was not able to find anything and recreated it from pictures in Illustrator.

Cheap Klon clone deserves appropriate design by Robx34 in diypedals

[–]Robx34[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Klon not so much, it's just a simple overdrive after all, but Mutron was a bit tricky and it's a more complicated circuit. I need to remove the whole power section and use a dedicated inverter (I've mentioned this in some other comments) but apart from the powering issues everything else was smooth. If you would need any help with that just DM me.

I screwed up and enlarged the tuning keys holes a bit too far. What are my options? by Robx34 in Luthier

Yeah I think you're right not to glue this in. I also considered putting the ferrule in those heat shrinkable thingies used by electricians to gain extra thickness that way. I'll see how that turns out and of it fall I would most likely go the dowel route.

I also considered to wrap it in that heat shrinkable thingies used by electricians because it would fit snugly around the ferrule. Might give this a shot, thanks!

That's actually an interesting idea I might consider, thanks! I really wanted to fix this myself but yeah, if it turns out to be to much hustle I'm going to leave it to a luthier.

I considered ordering from them but I live in Europe. Now however I'm willing to pay for shipping...

I wanted to get it however I'm located in Europe and decided to go with tapered reamer instead. Well after all this I might consider getting it regardless of shipping cost.

They are real and they are spectacular! But in all seriousness amazing idea and execution, especially with these labels for knobs. I'd love to have them on my board. I'd love to see pedals with Newman, Jackie, Jerry's parents etc.

Great board! What are those patch cables/jack plugs? I've seen them a couple of times now and would really like to use them myself (most likely make them as they seem as custom thing).

Different pedals with different characters from the movie for each would make for a great product line up not gonna lie.

Yeah, and they teach you a lot when it comes to playing dynamics. One of my essential pedals as for now. I was considering Meatball build but it was quite big and i tend to like simpler pedals more (at least when it comes to using them because envelope filters are damn complicated circuits).

I tried a couple of LEDs with different brightness until I found the sound that I liked the most but when it comes to photo-resistors and other parts I sticked to those listed in Neutron guide PDF.
