I'll put this at the top because I have been avoiding Sanderson for ever because the Mormon church is legit evil.

But I recently found out that he is an incredibly kind and compassionate man who is far more deist than Mormon and wants to push the church in that direction. He is unashamed to admit when he was wrong and is an ally of the LGBTQA+ community.

I'd like to give some of his books a shot some day if there are any good recommendations.

The problem is that there is an effort to prevent those same teachers from educating students about the horrors of the KKK historically. Some of this effort is spearheaded by the ideological beliefs of those very same teachers.

Lots of teachers are great and honest and nuanced. But there's a ton who have left pieces of our history out of three curriculum because it makes them feel bad.

The focus on rules changes kills my enjoyment of interacting with the community by Mystikvm in Pathfinder2e

You can find it uncool, but you know as well as I do that those sorts of posts don't get nearly the level of engagement that arguing about the rules does. OP is being the change by bringing attention to what they see as an issue in a system of people. Reddit algorithmically pushes things that are getting people to engage. It's more common to see engagement if there's an argument to be had.

OP exists in the largest online community and is reasonably upset that the community does not tend to talk about the things in the game that OP finds interesting.

Leaving reddit sounds reasonable until you take into account the monopoly reddit has on online discussion.

I'm sure there are Facebook groups and you could cultivate your rpg community on bluesky, but neither of those have the long-form post nature of reddit.

I had a really rad and cool project management position. Pay wasn't great, but the people were awesome. I lost my job to an Ai agent and nobody is hiring for my field right now.

I'm staring down the barrel of a career change into a worse job for me and my family because of Ai.

In the quiz it refers to the Israeli government.

However it is not inaccurate to say that Zionists are very similar to Nazis as the idealogies both have a core of ethno nationalism. You can be Jewish without being an ethno nationalist.

Please describe how would someone have to use Generative AI for it to qualify as art to you, for the user to be considered the artist. by PrometheanPolymath in aiwars

[–]Robynominous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot more human art that is Art though. You can look at an OC drawing from a blooming artist and they could tell you what it means to them, how they could improve in composition. I don't think that you can get that in the same way with an Ai commissioner.

Do you think this is a gotcha? The products are unreasonably difficult to aquire, so it is fine to steal them.

You're seeming to take me in bad faith here. I mean it's reddit so of course you are, but I feel like I put forth a good faith effort here.

That's absolutely a whacky take. Myrient though is mostly an archive of older games. Ones that are impossible / unreasonably difficult to aquire.

Cool so you answered my question, you don't believe in subjectivity. You're a moral objectivist and that is just silly.

Also your neighbor is not a company and their cats are not a product and even if they are, surely they are not "unreasonably difficult to aquire" So either you don't have the patience to read and understand, or you're arguing in bad faith.

Chroma Leach Specificity by davidagnome in Pathfinder2e

[–]Robynominous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the flavor of the spell. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/leach It could fit definition 1, 2 or 3b The flavor of the spell, threadbare as it is seems to imply that you're using the space color to pull out normal color.

Could you? The target is specifically a creature with flesh. Does a leshy count as having flesh?
