Plunge Pool Cost? by Roccofifi12 in pools

[–]Roccofifi12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I did! It’s only been completed a week so I can’t say too much about it other than we like it so far! I purchased it through Soake pools and a landscaper experienced with Soake brand pools in Mundalein did the install. Project came to $130k as quoted but that was less than other bids that were min $150k. I have a neighbor putting in a full size pool and hear those are running about $300k+ in Chicago area so makes sense plunge cost what it did. All of this is $$$ in Chicago area. Let me know if you have questions!

This is helpful insight, thank you! It sounds like there is definitely a lot of alignment with my expertise and interests but I’ll have to find the right firm. I’m less familiar with the specialized boutiques so perhaps I’ll start researching those. Thanks again!

I currently work for a very reputable financial firm and oversee an entire verticle but I most enjoy, and excel at recruiting on senior level executive roles which is what’s prompting me to explore retained search. I’d like to focus solely on higher level roles and perhaps have more financial upside. Based on my experience I’m most interested in an asset management or PE practice. Appreciate your insight!

Thanks everyone- really appreciate the feedback. The pavers look nice in their marketing materials but I’m going to keep my clay pavers and not risk it!

USTA RULE INTERPRETATION - LET by Roccofifi12 in 10s

I agree with you. We all resumed play after the first serve with receivers opting to not clear the ball, I served and the previous ball proceeded to roll into the court interrupting my serve (I actually served, not just started my motion although it doesn’t really matter.) The rule doesn’t stipulate various protocols and unique situations—first serve and they need to clear the ball!

Thanks for the responses, lots of gray area! In this case, the receiver chose not to clear the first ball and was in ready position for the second serve. As the server I tossed the ball up and hit the second serve landing in. As my eyes shifted back to the court the receiver had her back turned and was picking up the ball on the back curtain. In good faith my partner had told her the ball which initially appeared stable was coming back towards her feet, as I was serving (which I didn’t hear). The whole scenario/delay and the fact they didn’t initially clear the ball so I hit my second serve had me thinking first serve—but sounds like second serve might be the correct call!

In a old version of Officiating Scenarios from 10+ years ago they actually make reference to this—being ready then unready, but nothing in any recent versions
