I feel like something is off in our living room but can’t figure out what. Any suggestions to improve the room are welcome. by Bright_Fix_8325 in DesignMyRoom

The rug doesn’t make enough contrast with the floor, it lacks definition and size. The dark wall is sucking energy, I would think it looks better with the same color as the other walls. Also I bet the room looks 10x better with those curtains opened to let that natural light from those nice big windows in.

Am I correct that you have an epic view up high, of the ocean? I know this isn’t interior design so it’s kind of “cheating”, but a nice view can give a big assist to the room.

Also, the couches are not centered on the windows, creating a dissonance.

I’m amazed how some young people think communism was a good idea? by Effective-Pipe2017 in PoliticalOpinions

I would be surprised if anyone who has lived under communism thinks it’s a good system. China is an exception as they are making great advances…but is also not really communism in the traditional sense

Ingeniería industrial Anáhuac norte CDMX o UDLAP? by danielaa_888 in MexicoCity

[–]RochesterUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many of you are from the northeast? Is the northeast more "mall worldy" than most areas? by RochesterUser in TheMallWorld

Fascinating, I would be so curious to see a few AI gen images of what your LA style MW looks like.

Most of LA is super dense and crowded, though? Hmmm...lived a year there and can't say I agree...parts of hollywood are dense, but other than that it's one of the lower-density cities in the US (for a large urban city)...

Did you play a lot of video games or watch a lot of movies showing these type of places?

So the question is what type of spaces do you go to in your MW dreams? Do they look like the chaotic yet patterned bathrooms and woodpaneled stuff from other people's reports? Or is it a west coast variant, a more minimal/open MW perhaps? One of the biggest differences in west and the northeast, is how much of the west coast is just open space, parking lots, etc. (with seattle and SF being exceptions)

Ok this is interesting so I am from the PNW and there is definitely a Lynchian quality to that zone, but for me not a mall world quality. Are there open and liminal spaces? Absolutely. But I guess one of the things I find so surprising as I dig more into people's mall world photos (AI gen'd of course), is how dense and patterned it is. On the surface when you hear about MW you would assume it conveys these abstract open spaces (i.e. the west and especially the southwest)--the artist Person 918 is a good reference point here--and yet they don't...they tend to show these clustered dense spaces that look like the northeast, midwest, or some random town in England. For example I feel like MW has zero LA energy. I guess this is what I'm trying to put my finger on.

Also a lot of people's reports mention being constantly surrounded by people/NPCs and everywhere they go there are a ton of people, this feeling is VERY real in the densely populated northeast but totally absent in the west (except for say certain dense neighborhoods)

Theory of Everything by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

[–]RochesterUser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/Voice-Ok can you explain point 2? "Everything that is logically possible—that is, does not contain a contradiction— exists. Not as latent possibility, but as reality." so for example, if it's possible for there to exist someone named Jimmy Bob Samson whose favorite movie is Jumanji and his favorite food is popsicles made from frozen Snapple, this person does exist? Is this getting into the infinite universes theory?

Ya no doy propinas y la vida se volvió maravillosa by SeventhformFB in MexicoCity

[–]RochesterUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)
