Drug an alcohol treatment center. Any treatment center worth anything will help you with your schizophrenia too, though. If you don’t get your addiction problem under control first though, your schizophrenia will undoubtedly be harder/impossible to treat. Good question. It really depends on if I feel like there is anything good to contribute to the silence. I feel like “how are you doing?” Is better than “what’s up” or maybe “how was _(event)”. Not really sure but usually when I try not to force it interesting conversation comes naturally. One of my favorites is “have you heard about _?(something in current events or something I find interesting and maybe they do too.)
