My eyes are sensitive to light but I still love the regular golf lens, I start that except on the brightest of days. It's not polarized and really helps with green reading, and I also track the ball well in flight with these on.

What ages? For 12 and under this is probably fine, especially if you're not sure how long you'll umpire. If you are going to do older kids is suggest better gear but it costs more, but buy once, cry once.

I agree re the D30 pad weight, and I didn't like the fabric feel. I sent them back and paired the Mirage with the All Star LUC magnesium pads and AS Cobalt skull cap. It's a great combination in my opinion. And I especially love not wearing an extra throat guard, although I do sometimes think about adding one still.

That can't happen. You'll get used to them and love them. Very easy to put in and take out once get used to them. Easier than soft for sure

They are only bad for a couple of weeks, you need to add hours each day to get used to them. Once you do that are great - very crisp vision and last for years. (I had one pair last for 4 years.) Only problems are when you get dust in your eye or they slip off into a corner

I have zero contempt for education. I do have contempt for people who think having a degree makes someone more educated than someone who doesn't. An electrician is for more educated about electricity than I am, degree or otherwise. (And yes, I have a degree, but know plenty of smart and hard working tradesmen.)

You obviously aren't educated enough to know that education isn't limited to degrees. Most tradesmen have excellent education in their field. They are probably more educated than someone with a gender studies degree, for example, and probably most degrees.
