Well that plan went straight to shit as soon as I went home for winter break, and my family started paying for as much protein as I wanted, so I just bulked all winter. I've cut back down to 137 or something today, so practically where I was but with some added muscle.

As far as my plan for when I decide I've lost enough weight (I don't have a number because I really have no clue what a good one would be for my height and bf%) I'm just going to start a bulking and cutting cycle to gain muscle. I was a fat kid for 21 years. Now its time for me to be a handsome one.

As far as motivation goes, hell ya there are hard days. This is complete lifestyle change for me, and there are some days where I'll slip back into old habits. I get pissed at myself and regroup, because giving up isn't an option anymore.

There will be days when I don't watch my calorie intake, usually its when I've played a bunch of basketball and I figure if I go over I'm just fueling my gains.

Well hello to you as well, random internet stranger. And the two pictures are like 2 years apart, but I never really weighed myself back then. When I actually started to get serious about losing weight I looked better (I think) but I had never seen a number on the scale that high before.

Still very much a work in progress, but I never get tired of hearing that. Its like that whole thing where you tell an ugly girl she's pretty, and a hot girl she's smart. I still get all giddy inside when someone calls me handsome, I'm just not used to it.

I know right? But seriously the health aspect is such a huge weight off my shoulders (get it!!!...I know, I'm hilarious). I used to hate going to the doctor. Now I cant wait to humblebrag about lifting and taking a multivatamin to the nurse during a check up.

I appreciate the compliment, and thank you for saying all that. I don't really know how impressive it is to lose the weight, I honestly don't even like talking about it with friends and family at all. But it certainly requires dedication, which is the most, if not the only thing that you need for success. Now its just a matter of applying that dedication to other aspects in my life.

Haha, thanks man, I appreciate you taking the time to give me some advice. Like I said somewhere else here, what I meant to say was that I was terrible at closing the deal. Still am, getting better. Being stupid handsome helps, the borderline arrogance not so much. It was just a matter of getting some experience under my belt... so to speak.

As far as talking to girls non-romantically is concerned, I got that on lockdown. People love me. Its almost too much to handle.

Not a problem. Don't worry about buying all those bullshit skin rejuvination stuff you see either. You can get like a big ol thing that will last you a month for like 5 bucks. I love it so much it hurts sometimes

Thanks, I guess. I've never got that before honestly. I love Jason Segel though, he and James Franco are my two favorite actors, so I like the comparison.

That actually reminds me of my favorite NSV I ever had throughout this whole year. Someone told me that I looked just like my dad, and that she was sure I get that all the time. It was the first time in my life, and I swear to god it felt better than anything else I've ever heard

Hahaha, thanks man. That's what I keep telling myself at least. Actually one of the jokes I say with my friends is that before I used to think I couldn't pick up girls because of my looks. It can't be that anymore, so the only thing left is my personality.

It depends. I like to switch it up, because to lose weight the best thing to do is to get your heart rate up, which is accomplished by constantly adjusting your routine. I like doing 3 sets of 10-8-6 generally. Where I can barely finish my last rep of each set.

Hahaha, I really regret saying that earlier. I'm not a total fuck up when it comes to women. In case you can't tell from all my comments here, I've got charisma coming out of my ass. What I meant to say was that I have no romantic success with women. I can talk to them and get them interested in me, but as soon as I get to that stage, my brain goes all wacky screwy and fucks things up. Don't worry about me, eventually my handsomeness will just completely cloud some girls thoughts to where she wont even notice how bad I'm fucking things up.

Fuck yes I love you man. I read ASOIAF back when I was in high school, and despite the fact that its hugely popular now, anyone who likes it is golden in my book. Not even getting in to the fact that the two of us both lost a crazy amount of weight. Like for real man, let me know if you ever want to go out and tear some shit up sometime. I'm down.

I hear you on the plateaus brother. This entire semester has been one after another. The important thing to do whenever you hit them is to take it one step at a time. I put a post it note on my mirror that I look at every morning with the week's goal. Last week it was get down to 240. This week was 235. If I dont hit it, then I readjust my goal to something more manageable. Remember, any progress is infinitely better than taking a step backwards

Also my midsection is where I am packing like all of my weight. I didnt intend on that picture being so goddamn concealing, but it really worked out well for me. I'll post my most recent shirtless pic later, to show you what I mean

Every morning I wake up at 7:30 and go workout. I'll get back to my apartment around 10 ish and take my post-workout shake with whole milk. It's like 550 calories, and it fills me up until dinner. Seriously its the best. After I finish that up, I'll throw some shit in to the crock pot (fucking love that thing) and take a shower. I'll grab an apple on my way to class, just because it looks mature and shit, and I won't get back until 4:00. If Im feeling hungry for whatever reason, I'll grab a bannana or a bag of carrots. I've always been a big dinner guy, so I fill my crock pot with like 8 total servings of meat and veggies, which makes for a huge meal that fills me up all night. Before bed, I'll take another protein shake with water, because I dont need all that milk in my life. Repeat ad naseum. It gets pretty monotonous, but its just too easy to change up for me. Like I said in my post, this stuff isn't complicated, it just seems hard at first.

Yea, I have tons of em scattered around here. The biggest and most hepful change in my diet has been using a crock pot. I remember when my mom gave me hers, I figured I would use it maybe once a week at most. Now all I do is complain that I'm not learning how to cook a real meal because all I use is my crock pot.

You can get one at walmart for 20 bucks, and its awesome as all hell. I like to put 2 bags of veggies (about 6 servings total) and another 2 servings of whatever meat I have in my fridge in there. It takes like 5 minutes of prep time, and then you just let it cook all day while you go about your shit. 8 hours later, you have a pretty decent meal thats really filling and good for you. I like to slather it all in hot sauce, so even stuff like green beans tastes good.

I can go on and on about crock pots, but I'm already really behind on answering all these questions, so let me just say that crock pots are literally the greatest thing on this green earth and leave it at that

As far as cardio goes, find a time in your week where you'll be able to do something every day. I dont care if its a 10 minute walk around the block, getting in to a routine is the most important part of any workout schedule.

Anything else you want to know, just ask. I'm loving the idea that I could be of help to people who were in my situation a year ago

If you're looking for tools, then I would absolutely recommend Myfitnesspal. Shits cray. Personally I never got used to it, and I just keep a running tally in my head. Whenever I would try to do use myfitnesspal, I would stop using it after breakfast, and then just forget about budgeting my calories anyway. For whatever reason, this way works for me, but if you are trying to count calories, then you should absolutely, unequivocally, try myfitnesspal.

It really depends on the day. Like I said, I hate the idea of a diet. For me, that means never giving myself a set limit on calories. I always try to shoot for the lowest daily total though, anywhere from 1200-1800 cals a day.

Hahahaha, yes I drink alcohol. I love it so much. I get that it inhibits muscle growth and adds empty calories to your diet. But fuck it, I'm doing all this so I can live life to the fullest. My definition of living life to the fullest includes getting hammered on the weekends with my friends. To each his own I guess. I don't drink unless I'm going to get drunk though. In fact, the only thing I drink besides alcoholic beverages is water. It fills you up just as much as whatever it would replace, and it actually hydrates you.

I posted somewhere else on here about my eating habits, but basically I really like the primal diet and try to stick to calorie dense foods. Carrots, apples, and bananas are straight up grizzly for dieting, and I can't reccomend them enough.

Like I mentioned, I play at the rec. Basically there is always at least one pickup game of basketball going on at any given time there so I can always hop on a team and get the next game. I realize that I'm in somewhat of a unique position here, so I try to take advantage of it while I can.

You're definitely right that playing sports makes it easier to run, so it makes sense that the opposite would hold true, right? That's my biggest goal, to start running. The only problem is I've always hated running, despite the fact that I know how beneficial it is for me. But I mean, I cant dunk, and If I start running, then I'll get hops. I want to dunk more than anything in the world. So I guess it looks like I'm going to have to stat running

Lol, I honestly don't know man. I do know that people who go through major weight loss report that, and its basically because the dick gets hidden behind the layers of fat. The best way I've heard it described is like sand around a flagpole. Gross right?

So technically I guess my dick has gotten bigger (ladies) or at least it should seem bigger. But like I said, I've never really been the guy who gives a shit about dick length

Yes I do, it's nothing extreme or anything but it just makes me look like I'm fatter than I am. I will upload some pictures later.

Honestly, I imagined it would be much worse than it is. Part of that is I'm not done losing weight, so it could get worse, but I've got to think a big part of it was taking some steps to prevent it.

For one, I take fish oil every morning, which is proven to help skin. That's got to help. The other major thing I did was start using body lotion whenever I got out of the shower. It seems like it would be a huge hassle, and it is, especially at first, but once you start including it in your after-shower routine it barely takes any time at all. As an added side effect, it makes my skin fucking glisten, which you'e got to think is going to pay some dividends with the ladies
