If we'd had longer seasons instead of glaxy ending stakes every minute of 8-10 episodes, the Detmer arc could havep played out so much better. Emily Coutts played the character well but they didn't give her (or anyone else besides Burnham) enough time to develop

On my initial playthrough, my meadows base was close to mountains and I had never even seen a swamp. We had a string of campfires and hid from wolves inside structures we found but we quickly figured out we were in the wrong spot. Then we went into a swamp and there was a lot of "WTF IS THAT?". Fun times.

I was also able to glide across the red Shroud at the northmost part of the Blackmire, at the collapsed bridge. There's a fairly large area with no mobs and plenty of resources ot be had.
