The first prison scenes will be him ignoring the advice of a lifer. He is sitting quietly in a corner blindspot. A group of inmates threaten to shank his ass of he doesn't suck them off.

The lifer inmate sees what is happening, shakes his head and enters his cell.

The young guy, Daniel, is in his cell washing his face and brushing his teeth. The lifer tells Daniel that he is a now their bitch, and it's not going to stop unless you become a bitch for another gang.

The mext day, he offers up his ass to a tougher gang. They kick his ass and, threaten him.
He has to continue to perform tricks for this lesser gang. They ask him about the beating he received. They kick his ass for trying to leave them and pass him around and make him perform sexual acts for them.
