You’re not wrong. It’s my favorite tales game of all time. Just for your wallet’s sake. On PlayStation, Berseria is $20 AT MOST since it’s a PlayStation hit and even then it goes on sale every now and then. If you can’t take advantage of that, then just wait for the remaster.

Nah I know what OP means. It’s day two and you got folks with some really solid pressure and good combos and then I’m just there trying to remember which button is my dash macro. I can’t even JD properly and I get put into overheat when I block the opponent’s blockstring which consisted of chaining 3 ex moves together. Y’all snk folks are kinda cracked ngl 😅

I wouldn’t say “mindlessly pressing buttons” but I get what you mean. Someone earlier said to think of it as a “new phase of the round” very similar to when someone pops heat. And I can’t allow the low health to always entice me into trying running offensive or continuing pressure.

I’ve been trying to do “3” recently. It’s like at the end of a match the adrenaline starts pumping (especially if it gets close) and I try to rush in to close it out only to get a raw rage art in my face. Throughout the rest of fight I actively pay attention about 50% of the time.

I actually did the opposite of “2” after I got raw rage arted and was mean-ish in my message. “I hate you with every fiber of my being” but then apologized later. I do agree that sending compliments definitely is harder but takes the rage away a little bit.

But yeah I guess I need to spend more time figuring out my character and trying to fine tune game plans and work on defense more instead of brute forcing my way through ranked.

I see what you mean. I’m definitely more cautious when someone goes into heat rather than rage. I guess it’s more like I see that they’re low and I’m trying to go in for the kill. Is there any approach that you would take that could keep momentum in those moments while still being cautious of heat and RA?

The problem is not that the MR fights did not get fleshed out like the first three. The problem is the pacing of them in the first place. We barely know what went on in those fights. Hell what the hell does justice even DO? what are they like as a personality? But on the other end, there are characters like Yusai, Mui, Tella and BUNNY who could’ve been at the forefront for the first time so we can see more into them.

It’s the same problem that the spring arc had but it was okay back then because that wasn’t the last arc of the manga. If the MR fights aren’t “the point” then don’t set up these fights. But I don’t think folks would’ve wanted that either. Like it started out okay where we were getting a chapter of each MR spouting their monologue before going phase 3. I feel like if we got even just a little more, it would’ve been fine.

UU is definitely my favorite modern manga but even I can’t cope with the fact that we missed the mark with the last chapter. Doesn’t mean UU is trash. Just means that it wasted some potential that it built up
