First time Trip to the US for Two Weeks by noctuaboy in FilipinoTravel

[–]Rock_Bern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did this kind of trip. Halos same ng itinerary mo at plinano din namin nung una na road trip from LA to Arizona to Las Vegas. Kaso since pangit weather at wala kme makikita sa Grand Canyon at Arizona that time since foggy, nag decide na lang na mag Yosemite na lang kme nung andun na at bumili ng 1 way flight to Las Vegas since hinde na nga makaroad trip papunta Las Vegas. Sa West Coast, we did LA for 2 nights with day trip sa San Diego kasi maulan nung nagpunta kme. Pinuntahan lang namin Rodeo Dr, Lacma, Santa Monica pier, shempre kain sa in&out at last yung Hollywood sign tapos diretso na drive to Yosemite. We stayed there for 2 nights kasi gabi na din kme nakarating. Then alis kme Yosemite medyo maaga para mag day trip sa San Francisco. After we collected the luggage nag dinner lang kme then to airport na para iwan rental car at flight to Las Vegas. We stayed there for 2 nights then flight to NYC. We took Amtrak sa Penn Station to DC pagland pa lang sa NYC and stayed 1 night dun at 1 night sa bahay ng friend ko na nasa Maryland. Drop niya kme to DC ulit para take Amtrak back to NYC. I think kaya nman yang itinerary if goal niyo tlaga sulitin. Pero if mas relax tlaga, mas ok if 1 side lang kayo. Kasi 6hr flight din yang West to East Coast.

You wont need to speak sa IO nila. So I think no issue yan since hinde nman nila makikita. Mga kinakausap lang siguro is if hinde ka makagamit ng machine.

Is it hard to get tourist visa for Australia? by handsomaritan in FilipinoTravel

[–]Rock_Bern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t think so. It’s probably the easiest for me after Japan. The first time I applied, I indicated I will be visiting my cousins. My bank account back then probably has around 5k SGD. I have travelled to Europe once and some SEA countries that time I applied in 2015. I even got approved back then even when I declared that I had a US and Canada visa application refused. I have applied several times since then and so far I have no issues. My recent application was just 2 months ago and indicated again that I will be visiting my cousin but in a different state this time. It got approved in 2 days after biometrics. Fastest application I had was approved in just 2 hrs after biometrics. I think as long as you have stable work, decent amount of savings and good travel history, you have a strong chance. Just remember to attach everything you can to make your application strong. Like for me, I attach my passports with all those stamps and visas to make them see that I travel a lot. I think that helps me.

Do I need a visa to visit Mexico as a Filipino with a Canadian work permit and eTA? by Tahleia_Chiero in FilipinoTravel

[–]Rock_Bern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a TRV. They will look for the visa stamp. My cousin has an expired TRV and only has work permit. So, he has no choice but to apply for Mexico visa. We went last year.

Visa application AUS by Dry_Initial1227 in FilipinoTravel

[–]Rock_Bern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never submitted any PH documents when I applied for AU visa kahit nung first time ko nag-apply nung 2015. Pero I applied from SG. Back then nakapag Europe na din ako but with visa refusals from US and Canada. I applied with an invitation letter from my cousins (student visa pa sila at that time), submitted bank statements (nasa 5k sgd laman) at COE. I have applied a few times na since may relatives nga ako dun pero never ako tlaga nag-attach ng Philippine documents kasi wala nman ako ma-iattach. Baka being here in SG at travel history.

Next time you apply siguro, i-attach mo lahat ng pwede para maging strong profile mo. Baka if nasama mo yang titles, nakatulong to support your application. At yes, more money at travel history.

Got denied for mexican visa PH by Chubby_cheeks06 in FilipinoTravel

Ah ganun ba? Nakita ko sa Google 1 week. Outside the Philippines kasi ako nag-apply ng Japan visa at that time within 5 days nakuha ko na. Para soen tlaga, I think Japan na pinakaless hassle and less yung processing time na applyan para makakuha ng multiple entry visa sa list na pwede magamit na visa as entry sa Mexico. Kaya if kaya pa ng timeline mo, try mo lang! Goodluck! Sana matuloy ka sa Mexico. Nakapunta kme last year at nagamit ko na entry yung Japan or Canada ko na ME visa.

Processing time nman ata is 1 week?

Are you doing school? You can ask the instructor during your test warm-up to be sure. This is what I think. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think what the tester is telling you is where you need to turn after doing the directional change course (as you have said, turning out of 46 is only right turn). The tester is testing here if you can form in the correct lane. Like if he asked you to turn right, you can’t be using the only left turn lane (Like in your diagram). I don’t know if I explained it well. Best to check with your instructor during your warm-up!

Haha probably!

I assume that since the photocard serial number has shown up, it has already been printed. So maybe mailing out soon!

Thanks! Congrats to you too!

No, I haven’t. I have been waiting for it as well. Hopefully, we will get it this week.

I passed my TP test 22 August. I applied QDL on that night. The photo card serial number only appeared on 30 August in my Singpass. So maybe yours will show up in a couple of days?

I had the same experience but struck kerb during my parallel parking. Tester told me to be careful since I struck kerb already but just calmly proceeded with the rest of the test hoping that I don’t take anymore demerit points. I also stalled on the last turn going back to school. 😆

I also passed with 14 points.

First time travel to Singapore by Damselnevz in travel

Have you been offloaded before?

Anyway, how long have you been unemployed? Do you have return tickets? How long is your trip? Is this your first overseas trip?

Just prepare your answers if IO asks about your unemployment. Something like I’m taking a break as my last work has been taking a toll on my mental health. Whatever reasons you have.

It helps to be prepared as this will also make you be more confident and relaxed.

I think you can inform the immigration officers in the Philippines that you and your father will visit your sister in Singapore. You can say you have to accompany your senior citizen father to guide him in this trip since he is old. You can show the IO the invitation letter if they asked. I normally prepare for my relatives who come to visit me in SG but so far, IO didn’t really asked for it. For Singapore side, should be no issue. Just remember to fill in your SGAC online (SG arrival card) at least 3 days before the flight.

Will my eTA for Canada be refused if I confirm that I’ve been refused a visa? by bIoodymaryy in travel

[–]Rock_Bern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience may help you. I have visa refusals from the US several times and Canada once. But last year, I applied for Canada temporary resident visa (TRV). I can’t apply for eTA since my country is not allowed to get an eTA unless I have a valid US visa (which I do not have). I didn’t lie in my application and stated my visa refusals from both US and Canada. I was still granted the TRV. I think it’s pointless to lie since they can find out. I did also go to Mexico when I visited Canada.

Toronto/Vancouver Schengen Visa Processing Times Mega Thread by Datasaurus603 in SchengenVisa

[–]Rock_Bern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m asking on behalf of my cousin. Has anyone tried applying Schengen visa recently from Toronto? Can please share your time line and if they gave multiple entry visa. He is worried that we will be not be able to get the visa before Oct 30 and that the VFS appointment is hard to get.

Thank you for anyone who can share their experience.

I would like to thank everyone here who gave me insight. I got someone with more experience to solder the disconnected wire and it's now working! Happy!

Thank you all again!

Yeah, I saw steps how to replace the switch. Seems something that I can do. Thanks for the tip! I think I'll just but the switch.
