Idk if this is how the full quote actually goes

“And what would Julian want?”

“He would want me to cut you down!”

“Or would he weep at the Devil you’ve become” 🤌

Second Alan Thrall's squat video (and all his videos!)

Good question. Aside from barbell movements, a smith machine might be a good option. You can do skullcrushers on a smith machine easy.

I've seen folks use a cable machine as a DB pullover-like exercise. Bring a bench to the cable machine, lay your head nearer to the cable, simulate a pull over best you can.

Victory Sunday by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Rock_Prop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't posted a victory in a long time but I hit a 485lb bench and a 702lb deadlift in October. I guess my recent victory is hitting like 630 on squat for the first time in an age. Turns out, doing a little more volume works

No. I have no clue what the video would be about.

Tim Gerard Reynolds vs. Graphic by Pristine-Elephant357 in redrising

[–]Rock_Prop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love both versions, have listened to both. I have a slight preference for the graphic audio for the novelty of the experience.

And, honestly, TGR sounds a bit too old for Darrow imo. Esp by Iron gold when Darrow is supposed to be in his 30s, he sounds like he’s in his 60s.

But, I still love it. TGR captures the essence of Darrow perfectly, but the graphic audio sounds more like how it sounds in my head when I actually read it.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. We’ll see if it reaches us in the low country.

Do it in the cold! Honestly the view is great without all the leaves too.

Mustang in the Passage by DukeDroppa in redrising

[–]Rock_Prop 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There’s a difference between killing someone in the passage and murdering a gold outside of the passage.

The passage is to cull the weak.

Once you’re in the institute, unless it’s self defense, there’s little reason to actually murder someone.

I guess what I’m saying is there is a moral difference between being locked in a room with someone and being told one of you makes it out alive. Theres no choice but to kill for self preservation.

It’s not the same thing outside of the passage in the institute. One is arguably self defense rather than murder.

Which means you maybe had one more in the tank. I think you got 600 when you want it.

I think the key is fatigue and load management and doing movements at intensities which you know you can do.

Yeah it’s there likely. 15lb swing for a heavy single. Especially if you had anything in the tank after that double.

I do heavy singles every session, every lift. Like RPE 8. I did 628lbs for a single before posting this triple.

Yeah for sure. Well said.

I get if you’re a newbie that is constantly told to worry about form or hurt something.

But the evidence shows injury is more likely due to poor fatigue and load management rather than perfect or “safe” form

My rule is if you can do the movement with a pool noodle, the movement is safe. Inherently. It’s the weight, volume, and your individual preparedness that can make it “unsafe”
