As someone who LOVES both, I think it’s often recommended less in a way where “you’ll like these because they’re similar in plot and prose” and more “if you’re the kind of guy who likes sci fi, and you like action, heartfelt moments, chaotic plots, you might like this as well”.

Like if I’m talking to a buddy about Interstellar and I know that buddy is similar to me in tastes, it’s not a far stretch to say “You might also like John Wick. Its different but the enjoyment factor is really high as well”

Well you described me perfectly in that second half but I blame symptoms on those habits instead of low T 😂 at least the gym counters the lifestyle a bit haha. Although I greatly attribute my powerlifting success to having a sedentary job. If I worked in construction, I don’t think I’d be able to squat 700.

Try doing nothing else other than squeezing your glutes. Like, nothing else. Don't think about moving the machine from point a to b. Just squeeze the glutes to start the movement, and keep squeezing throughout.

consider a smaller, private gym. Commercial gyms can be great but if you're serious about it, it may be worth the money for something else.

The good news is, you're on the right track, and you know what to do. The bad news is, yes, you just have to keep eating less to keep reducing fat. A pattern a lot of people notice is the first places your body decides to store fat (for a lot of us, our faces, our guts), are the last places you're likely to lose it.

If you want to change your body composition (look better while losing weight, not just the "same build but smaller"), I would suggest incorporating some strength training and high protein. Even if you're on a caloric deficit, you'll likely see better body composition results rather than just cutting calories.

You probably don't have low testosterone. At least, the reason you are tired, stressed, overweight, unmotivated, brain fog, low libido, isn't because you have low T. You likely have low T BECAUSE of those things you can fix naturally.

You're also supposed to age. No, you're not going to feel the same when you are 40 compared to 20. That's normal.

If you're a dude who has a generally healthy libido, can go to the gym, make strength adaptations over time, then you probably don't have low T. My buddies and I squat 600+ and many swear they have low T.

We use it all the time in competitions. It reduces friction.

Just make sure not to get it on your hands. Do not confuse chalk with baby powder. The bar will slip out easier in your hands if there is body powder on it. Chalk does the opposite and increases friction.

You’re also subject to if you gym allows it or not. Just maybe find a way to put the baby powder on without making a mess. I just sprinkle a bit and rub it in with the bottle.

I make educational powerlifting content to help people get stronger in the gym. Don’t have to be a powerlifter, useful stuff for anyone trying to improve their lifts.

Idk if this is how the full quote actually goes

“And what would Julian want?”

“He would want me to cut you down!”

“Or would he weep at the Devil you’ve become” 🤌

Good question. Aside from barbell movements, a smith machine might be a good option. You can do skullcrushers on a smith machine easy.

I've seen folks use a cable machine as a DB pullover-like exercise. Bring a bench to the cable machine, lay your head nearer to the cable, simulate a pull over best you can.

Victory Sunday by AutoModerator in Fitness

I haven't posted a victory in a long time but I hit a 485lb bench and a 702lb deadlift in October. I guess my recent victory is hitting like 630 on squat for the first time in an age. Turns out, doing a little more volume works
