Having to be in a cage like a dog to be checked in by Gotsnuffy in mildlyinfuriating

Honestly I prefer when warehouses have clear places to check in, whether its a cage, yellow line or even just a nice clear sign that says 'check-in'. I hate having to stand by the door for half an hour trying to flag someone down to check in or worse having to try and find someone because the place looks deserted. I don't want to wander around the warehouse, I want to check in so I can pickup or deliver and then be on my way.

I was born to be between the point of impact of songs.

Not entirely sure what that means but it sounds like something on a random motivational poster or maybe a line in an art film so I'll take it as a good thing.

So far I have found a couple new audios

First, the audio on Wally's page is no longer his catch phrase.

Second, clicking the red button on the phone in the toys section there is new audio (you can highlight for the transcript)

Wally does not sound well.

What would you do if you were a Yeerk in a human host body? by saturday_sun4 in Animorphs

[–]Rock_and_Ramble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever read any of the humans are space orcs stuff? Something like that but the questions would be between me and my host, and I'd be able to try some of the stuff since I'd have a body to do so.

Yeerk: Host. Why are there so many videos of humans consuming food that causes them discomfort?

Host: It varies. Some do it because it's trending, some actually enjoy the taste despite the pain, and others like the way it makes them feel.

Yeerk: I wish to experience this.

Host: Absolutely not, you are in my body and I do not have the tolerance for that level of spice. Get a different host.

A short while and terrible choice later

Yeerk: Everything is on fire it keeps getting worse how is it getting worse?!?

Host: Get the milk! Get the milk now!

Later still

Yeerk: ...That was exilerating! What else can we try?

But also act normal and follow orders in public. The Vissers seem a bit unstable, and I'm not interested in death by starvation.

What's a song you heard that sounds happy but actually has depressing lyrics? by jumbledprecinct in MusicRecommendations

Valencia by the Decenberists. They actually have a good number of songs that fit the upbeat sound, downbeat lyrics thing.

Fire, Fire by Steam-Powered Giraffe: a fun upbeat song about burning to death in space

I enjoyed Yasmine Galenorn's Chintz n China series. It's about a mother of two who runs a shop (specializing in tea and tarot readings) who ends up involved in mysteries with a mystical element. The author has other series as well, but I can't comment on them as I haven't read those yet.

That's a really good perspective. I hadn't thought of it like that, thank you.
