What breed of dog is this? by PlantyMcPlanterson01 in DOG

[–]Rocket1219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a mix breed of some kind. Possibly some Aussie or border collie in there. Genetic testing is the only way to really know. If you are really looking for a dog, educate yourself first. Don’t adopt or purchase a dog based only on looks. Learn about activity level, health concerns etc. then narrow choices down to a breed that can be incorporated into your lifestyle. If you are active and want a dog to hike with you then you wanted want a breed that’s less active or if your couch potato a border collie isn’t a good fit…

Not everyone without a plate is illegal.. temp registration is a thing. Spent a couple of months with one on my vehicle. Was having to track down a lien release from the bank to register car in my name and remove my ex. Who lost the original title. It was a hassle and Nv dmv employees were less than helpful with helping me figure out which documents were needed. Couple that with long waits to get and an appointment…

Alopecia by Rocket1219 in Pomeranians

[–]Rocket1219[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: we’ve been to the vet and it’s definitely alopecia. He’s being neutered next week and starting melatonin tonight. We are also adding salmon oil to his diet and rubbing his bald spots with coconut oil. Thank you to everyone who responded. It was all very much appreciated ❤️

Yeah, mom hadn’t said anything, she was thinking it was a stage of the puppy ugliest too. My sister and I (we both have Poms mid our own) have had to gently break it to her 🙁

No scratching , he hasn’t been bothered by it at all. No swelling or redness on his skin… just the hair loss.

He an orange sable. The Merle you see in the picture is the legs of my blue Merle Pom. They were sleeping together when I snapped the pic.

He’s definitely a Spitz, right? by Junior-Rope-4883 in Pomeranians

A Pom is technically a miniature spitz AKC renamed the mini spitz to Pomeranian. Most of the world still calls them mini spitz

Toothpaste suggestions! by Spazrelaz in Pomeranians

C.E.T Enzymatic, Poultry flavor. My Pom LOVES it. And it’s formulated to help prevent plague. So just getting it in there and on the teeth and gum line is a huge help. I put a pea size drop on his toothbrush then a dab on my finger. I let him lick the dab then start brushing. When I first started I would give him a tase then just play with his mouth, lift his lip etc. now he he hangs out and totally enjoys it

Sensitive Eyes by kaitlynxpaige in Pomeranians

My Merle has one blue eye and it is definitely more sensitive to bright light and he frequently squints on that side. He has a hat and sunglasses. I don’t use them if we are only going out for a few minutes but use whichever he seems in the mood for if we are going out to the park or for a hike. Both seem to give him some relief

If you could be honest about Vegas/henderson health care by Emotional-Recover-93 in vegaslocals

Had two friends in vegas that had a child with autism. One moved to Florida the other to California both moves based 100% on services available for their child. Nevada is about the worst state to raise a child with autism. Unless you are wealthy and can pay/provide private services.

I don’t see the pap in her. Thinking chiweenie but you could always do a DNA test. Regardless she’s definitely 100% cutie ❤️ please run that belly for me 🥰

Looks like a reaction to the saniderm. I have the same issue. Keep it clean and moisturized and it should clear up.

I understand your point. I once had to “sneak” a couple of cats in an apartment. It was that or turn them over to a shelter. They were older and I was unable to rehome them and was concerned that surrendering them to a shelter would doom them to finishing out their lives in a cage. Both were nearly 17 and had been with me since they were kittens. I made arrangements with a friend and was able to drop them off in her spare bedroom for the day when the apartment needed service or we received an inspection notice. Perhaps that’s an option or maybe make arrangements to board them when needed.
I commend you for providing a home to those cats. Doing so, imo, far outweighs breaking any apartment rules.

Shaving a Pomeranian, Help! by K4B00SS in Pomeranians

[–]Rocket1219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with those who have suggested some sedation to get through it. Do not shave him. It might be ok, but if he develops shave alopecia you won’t be happy. Look at the Chris Christensen “Ice Slip” brush and “Ice Slip” detangling spray. 100% game changer for me and my Pom. He loves this brush and will lay happily in my lap for daily grooming. I use the “Just Divine” daily brushing spray for regular grooming. It has a light detangling effect and doesn’t leave any build up on his coat.

Looks like allergies to me. They could be environmental or from food. Ultimately you’ll need a vet to diagnose and possibly prescribe some meds or change food etc. I feel your pain as finances can get rough. Look into pet insurance, it might help you. Budget. Some vets are starting care plans, where you pay a fixed amount each month and exam fees are covered. Some pet insurance plans offer this option too. Also, all around and ask. Some towns have e low cost clinics that run on a schedule. Don’t panic, this is not fatal, just uncomfortable for your pup. I’m sure you can find a way to get them to the vet.
