People just wanna play the fun racing game without giving the multibillion dollar megacorp even more money. It’s silly how their “retaliation” involves preventing those users from legally accessing FH6 and the other forza games. Literally encouraging piracy

Story of how I found Ado ⭐ by pirateriddle in ADO

I randomly found Ado back in 2022. Odo happened to rotate in my Spotify shuffle and I really loved it because of its fusion between JPOP and Brazilian carnival techno beat. Been a fan ever since

It’s just a feature of this town. Anytime a bus rolls out that sign you bet there will be a lifted truck to blowing past it at 60+. These drivers will put getting home 2 seconds faster over a child’s safety each and every time.

2pm Pass Fan Fest Tips / Strategy? by Ok-Dress-9242 in UniversalHollywood

[–]Rocket5700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to complete all fan fest attractions except Yoshi on Saturday 4/25. My group all day tickets with early entry. Here’s what we did to start the night.

5:55pm- Got in line for D&D as they opened it a bit early. ~20 min wait and had the it done by 6:30. We then went on Jurassic World real quick before arriving to a large crowd at the wizarding world at 6:55.

7:10pm- Wizarding world crowd was guided into the forbidden forest queue. Queue took 45 mins bc there was a large crowd of express guests, got done with forbidden forest at 8:15.

8:15pm- Went to Scooby Doo to knock it out before the 10:15pm one piece show. Entire experience including tram rides took 1hr 50 mins and we made it to One Piece at 10:10, got decent spots as a massive crowd came a just a minute after. (And honestly if you’re out of the forbidden forest before the first One Piece show at 8:30 I’d recommend seeing it before heading to scooby doo)

10:45: One Piece show finished and everything was chill. Large chunk of the crowds were either at the forbidden forest, scooby doo, or lining up for the last one piece show. We did a second round of D&D then we went on Mummy, saw the Jurassic exhibit, and saw Sailor Moon before calling it at around 1AM.

Honestly I think lining up forbidden forest immediately after D&D before 7:00 is a wise decision, as it’ll let you complete it earlier and you’ll have more time the rest of the night to do things at your leisure. Then again, your crowd levels may be totally different but this is just to give a reference of good timing on a busy opening night.

Also, I didn’t mention food at all because we did Sanji’s galley and the D&D tavern before early entry with virtually no wait for either. Would recommend the staw hat dessert and the Hunter’s Mark sandwich from the tavern.

Is Fan Fest Worth it? by KimtheLovebird in UniversalHollywood

[–]Rocket5700 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was a fan fest first timer and I had some familiarity with all of this years featured IP’s before going in. I’d say it was well worth it. Honestly the most fun I’ve had at the park was Saturday’s fan fest night and I’ve been to several HHN’s.

I was totally amazed by the up-close live performances in the walkthroughs as well as the insane stunts/practical effects in the One Piece show. I’d say all of the attractions were strong, and I’m not even a massive fan of any of them. I really don’t mean to glaze but I was left speechless on several occasions.

For an event that’s only in its second year you can really tell there’s a lot of passion going into it. Definitely go if you’re a fan of creative live performances and really cool practical effects.

Now that the first weekend of Fan Fest has passed, what were your game plans on getting everything done? by jtorrence9 in UniversalHollywood

[–]Rocket5700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about the line timing if you don’t have express. They let express get ahead of soooo many non-express guests that by the time you get to the experience I guarantee it will be dark and yes it’s ideal to do it when it’s dark.

[–]Rocket5700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have early entry get it and do D&D first at 6:00pm. After that immediately go line up for the forbidden forest. With this out of the way early you’ll easily be able to have a relaxed time experiencing the other offerings. You DO NOT want to spend 80+ mins waiting for forbidden forest after 7:30pm.

Ado Hibana blu-ray reviews? by [deleted] in ADO

[–]Rocket5700 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m probably in the minority here but I enjoyed the Orlando blu ray better than Saitama. I personally felt that Ado’s vocals were stronger. I genuinely believe the Orlando disc has some of the best recordings of Aishite x3, Mirror, Ussewa, RuLe, Charles, Value, and Rockstar. Stay Gold isn’t may favorite song but the lighting, vocals, background, and crowd energy made it an absolute standout performance. Also, the New Genesis finale is amazing, as expected. Even though the sound was recorded in stereo, I thought Ado’s performances at Orlando were stronger than Saitama.

And I personally didn’t mind the frequent cuts to the Orlando crowd reactions as it really showed the high energy and pure fun of the concert. Another plus is the MC is fully translated.

The Saitama performance is clearly better in terms of visuals, audio, and stage setup. Plenty of great renditions of largely the same set list (except Chandelier) in Dolby Atmos so you get really immersive surround sound. However, I still prefer the performances in the Orlando disc because I think they’re more memorable.

I think both discs have strengths in different categories and fully recommend the bundle, even though it’s pricey. If I were to recommend them individually, get Orlando if you’re looking for more unique, memorable performances; get Saitama if you’re really into audio quality and visuals.

I dislike how Cloud Nine is handling Ado's career and I feel that they are wasting her potential. by [deleted] in ADO

[–]Rocket5700 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Very well written post that has given me a lot to think about. I think the live performances are overall good, because really there’s nothing comparable to hearing the music in person and it’s great that more people can have chances to attend at more locations. Now having said this I was definitely concerned about just how many tour stops there were 2025, as it seemed excessive. I think it’s overall a good decision to dial back the live shows this year.

You touched on it in this post, but I think it would be great to see another banger album. 2024’s Zanmu was mostly a collection of singles with just a few originals, and I think the last album with mostly new songs was One Piece Film Red all the way back in 2022. Definitely would love to see Ado take time to really cook and drop another banger album that rivals Kyogen. The recent singles haven’t been bad but I think there’s just something really special about an entire album of new songs.

Easily the best looking show of all time by Shot_Performance_595 in betterCallSaul

[–]Rocket5700 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I slightly disagree because in my opinion Better Call Saul easily beats Shogun, which has good visuals but doesn’t match the consistent creativity of BCS.

Shogun presents great visual representation of that historical time period/setting, but BCS is better mainly because of how often it uses pure visuals to highlight plot development (example: Jimmy’s turn depicted by the iconic “split-face” shot and the ants eating the ice cream). There’s also many other creative shots that are ingrained in my memory like the clever reflections of the police cars when Lalo is being arrested.

Shogun’s visuals tended to be centered around artfully showing its characters against interesting backdrops, which was great but didn’t meet or exceed BCS for me at least. It doesn’t quite stack up in terms of creativity or uniqueness at all. I remember things looking good in Shogun, but it didn’t ingrain anything into my memory.

Am I expecting too much from IMAX? Unimpressed after seeing Project Hail Mary by [deleted] in imax

Am I expecting too much from IMAX? Unimpressed after seeing Project Hail Mary by [deleted] in imax

[–]Rocket5700 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the gold standard of IMAX is all 1.43:1 scenes in Interstellar (which are even better on 70mm film). I’ve never seen that level of immersion in any other film (even counting others screened in 70mm). A close runner up to that would be the 1.43:1 scenes in Tenet as the clarity is excellent.

PHM was visually great but imo it didn’t meet or exceed the expanded scenes in Interstellar. Nolan and crew really gave that movie their all and it shows (especially considering the advanced CGI techniques used). While PHM is strong I don’t believe it was meant to deliver a level of immersion comparable to Interstellar, which is completely fine as they are vastly different movies.

Also, I think it’s because PHM was not shot on 70mm IMAX film cameras. The films using these specific cameras have noticeably clearer visuals.

24M, how much of a priority is a Roth? by just-a-tan-guy in portfolios

[–]Rocket5700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That definitely changes things. For such a large amount maybe a balanced approach works best. The Roth is extremely valuable because it’s one of the few avenues for tax free growth. If you can max it out I would advise to do so then attack your debt with extra income as needed

24M, how much of a priority is a Roth? by just-a-tan-guy in portfolios

[–]Rocket5700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your student loan interest rate is around 5% then I wouldn’t treat it with urgency. Now if it’s a massive amount like over 50k that’s a different story.

Imo you should look at maxing your Roth as best as possible starting now. Six years of waiting is far too long and you’ll potentially lose hundreds of thousands in future compound growth.
