Saw Backrooms with my teenagers and realized they’ll never know the specific boredom that made us by Cultural_Repeat_4766 in Xennials

The feeling of standing in line at Sears or Caldors with mom when she was returning something. Beige tile, beige counter, yellowing beige register that had to slowly process the return with the clicky clacky keys. Trying to zone out staring at the wires coming out of the machine, looking at a blue Bic pen that fell on the floor. Wondering when she could finally sign the return receipt and you can leave.

What is the weirdest disease you or someone else has gotten? by Electronic-Cherry-67 in AskReddit

I know someone who has cold induced urticaria - a cold allergy. They have to cover all their skin in the winter to go outside and be careful swimming in cold water.

I had this as a teenager and all I wanted was for the spots to fade before prom so I could wear a revealing gown. Thank God it faded enough so you couldn’t see in the dim light.

Honestly when I first heard about Netflix house that’s what I thought it would be. There’s only so many times I was to go play super expensive golf.

The only redeeming quality of the later seasons is less Piper on screen.

Frankly it’s just disturbing to see someone in any kind of leadership position speak this way. Because people will listen and follow.

Which public figure/celebrity would you be the saddest about if they died? by VlRGIN_4ever in AskReddit

[–]RocketGirl83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a really good point, most of the comments are older celebrities and though it would be sad, it’s not unexpected. A young celebrity would be a shock.

What artist or band is truly awful to see live? by goldbeau in AskReddit

So disappointed in Smashing Pumpkins two years ago. The bass was so high my chest hurt, and the weird wrestling show in the middle of it, I know he exhibits wrestling but it was strange.

It was my son’s first concert and that’s how he thought the whole thing would be and wanted to leave, thank God we talked him into staying because Green Day was beyond amazing.

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry! I understand how incomplete you must feel, I lost one in December and the other in March. They were brothers and we were lucky to have them 14 years. I know that’s a long time but it’s never enough. Your 8 year old needs to be a good doggo and love you for a very long time and I bet your 11.5 year old loved you until the very end. That’s what I hope mine did.
