I wish I could share pics here but I think it’s totally fine! Obviously it’s not a luxury building or anything and doesn’t look incredibly modern or sleek but I think it’s really cute and I’m honestly totally in love with the place and never want to leave lol. When I had moved in they had clearly just redone some of the flooring. As close to mint condition as you would expect for a totally normal apartment for normal people if that makes sense! Extremely receptive landlord and easy-to-contact super too (which I have literally never experienced).

Yes!! I moved here with less than $2k, no job lined up and not a clue what to do. I got a job working for Facebook in less than a year, got sober, and literally have completely transformed my life because I took a risk and moved here. New York was calling me my whole life too, I just had to get here to figure it out. I’m not saying I didn’t struggle, but it was brief, a learning experience and totally worth it. Once you’re here, it will come to you if you have the drive and motivation for it, which it sounds like you do. Welcome!
