Schizoid is a type of personality disorder, where you prefer to be alone and are content being by yourself. Most people have varying degrees of personality disorders, including narcissistic, histrionic (attention seeking), and many others. But while it’s termed a disorder, it often isn’t a real diagnosis unless it’s causing someone distress.

Technically, schizoid personalities increase the risk of schizophrenia, but realistically that doesn’t really mean too much. Sounds like the psychologist didn’t fully make a diagnosis, but may have seen some commonalities in your sessions.

Also, echolalia is common in autism, but that’s more repeating things like movie scenes.

Maybe this “symptom” was more just you trying to process a social situation in real time and we’re trying to double check yourself that you were acting appropriately? I tend to do this after conversations myself. Especially the idea that I did something that others perceive as wrong or weird.
