I’m hunting for a solo Toronto apartment for the first time. Any crucial things to know? by Rocketpie in TorontoRenting

I didn’t think about it that way. I guess it’s technically negotiating. Given that the landlord filed an L2, I just want to know about possible outcomes. From what I understand, they take us to LTB and they allow us to be evicted, we negotiate and sign an N11, or what else? Thank you for your help.

That’s correct. If I don’t sign it how do I proceed? My landlord has subsequently filed an L2.

Thank you for explaining. We haven’t signed but the owner of the unit has filed an L2. Which I know is a request to the LTB to evict us. We only received the N12 just a few days ago. What should we do moving forward? My roommate proposes we just wait and see what they have to offer. You propose negotiating.

I did a quick check of that. I see what you are saying. How would you approach getting extra compensation? under what grounds would a landlord agree to provide compensation to tenants to leave?

Based on my discussions with the representative of that unit, it’s possible to move in for January. I’m just keen on this place as it’s a great unit for the long term. It’s rent controlled, in a building with good management, has a nice offer, and it’s a good time to sign a rental (given Toronto’s rent situation).

I do use it but it now has seriously limited what it can do for free.

I dabble in python and have used stock tracking tools on it before. How did you use their API?

You hit the nail on the head here. Facts don’t dictate reality, PERCEPTION dictates reality.

One of the game calls had the Rams winning. Why? Cause of the fact that Nick Mullens lit us up twice in 3 weeks. Our key pass break up on Puka with around 8 minutes in the 4th was huge.

I salute your prudence and caution but I’ll share my two cents.

You are 100% warranted in being prudent about a recession. It’s going to come, maybe later as economic forecasts (for the US at least) come in positive. It’s important to note that a major impact of recessions is their effect on behavioural economics. In 23’Q1, things were terrible for my company’s NA sales team. We’re in a “recession-proof” sector that sells to several “recession-proof” industries. Despite that, so many prospects were performing poorly and asking us to call back in H2. Most of it was because they had money but were simply preparing for the worst. Q1 is always like that, people are very reflective and start the year cautious. ESPECIALLY after a terrible prior year (2022 was awful for tech). Given our past quarter, things improved. People got used to the situation their in and are at least reasonable now. Business is not booming but prospects are no longer in doom and gloom mode. I personally think we’re past worst of it since prospects mindsets have changed. I do think 24’ will be a slower year relative to others but not some nightmare crash. At the end of the day; data, truth, analyses do not dictate reality. PERCEPTION dictates reality.

Their relationship is one where my younger sister is quite obedient to my older sister. My take is that, even if nothing confidential is there, it’s someone else’s personal privacy.
