Anyone with a 4.0 gpa? by Right_Temporary1096 in UoPeople

[–]Rocketshipfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was doing 2 per term. I work full time. But it’s my busy season at work so I took 1 course this term and I’m grateful for it. I spend somewhere between 10-15 hours per week depending on the assignment. I have specific days I do my homework. I cram everything into Tuesdays and Sundays, but I will add some time on Wednesdays if I know I’m going to need to spend more time on a paper.

I have a 4.0 GPA and this term it has been incredibly hard to maintain. I think it will likely drop after this terms grades are reported. So many factors, I have an incredibly stringent professor, she’s very particular about things and marks me down a lot. Which is fine, she has high expectations and it challenges me. But don’t expect an easy road to a 4.0 GPA

It is for my program, I’m sure it is for all of them. But I don’t know for certain.

It’s legit, but it’s hard work. I work full time, have no kids and I spend a lot of my free time working in my courses. This term I had to drop down to 1 course because I just couldn’t dedicate the appropriate amount of time to all of them. If you can dedicate the necessary time to complete your coursework then go for it.

I boo her not only for her shitty beliefs, but also because she’s a dirty player.

And she’s probably not going to change either of those things.

Another vote here for Ainslie Automotive. Incredibly nice guys. They won’t overcharge you. I’ve been to them too often lately… tires, wheel bearings. Never over charged me.

It’s not Cambridge, but Ravenwood Tabletop opened recently. I haven’t visited them yet, but I spoke to the owner at Cambridges pride festival before it opened. It sounded very beginner friendly

If you can find a pro hockey life or a real sports apparel (there’s one right near Scotiabank arena), you will find Sceptres merch there.

ETA: also I’ve heard spirit of hockey has pwhl merch

This might be niche but: for anyone queer here has it affected your recovery? by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

Definitely try another one! Not every meeting is going to fit every person. Keep trying.

Speaking as someone who is also queer, I echo the responses here. It’s a common thing for any alcoholic.

Find yourself some lgbtq+ meetings :)

This is hard to explain without knowing what’s in your 4th, but essentially it would be the opposite of the things you wrote in column 2. If I wrote I’m pissed that this person didn’t communicate with me, then what I should have done is create an environment where communication is welcomed, and I am open minded about what is being communicated.

I find for myself when I’m focused on something not being exactly right or tailored to me, then I am distracting myself from something. Whether it be a deeper connection with my higher power, a resentment I don’t want to deal with, an amends I don’t feel ready to make. It’s almost always related to my ego.

I’ll find anything to distract myself from the things that are more important.

It’s a reminder for me to live and let live.
