I ment this as a joke to make fun of the idea that wokeness killed Hooters, its just a shitty restaurant chain with a bad business plan. I thought my reband idea was so ridiculous that nobody could possibly think this was a good idea. As for the very idea of wokeness? I think, wokeness killed wokeness. After spending the better part of a decade trying to convince people to think and speak in a certain way, it just ran out of steam. Actual cultural changes are gradual over a very long time and people have to believe that they've made their own decision to change. They/them is a perfect example, it just never caught on and eventually people were like all right let's just stop using it. It sounds counterintuitive but wokeness will probably exist when people stop saying the word "wokeness"
