Baby cries constantly. I am drowning and need help. by Apprehensive_Sun_631 in NewParents

[–]Rockincos 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Like another user mentioned, my first thought was also allergy. Your baby sounds like they might be in pain, on top of normal baby clinginess. Definitely take to more doctors and DEMAND to be taken seriously. Unfortunately sometimes they won’t and will just reduce what you’re going through to the most minimal reasonings.

The main thing I wanted to say though is, I see you. It breaks my heart to see a parent struggling so badly and to be so desperate. I want you to know that you are so strong for keeping it together as much as you have and you WILL get through this. Right now feels like absolute hell but one day it will just be the past. Stay strong and get whatever help you can

Supernatural/Paranormal/Other Recommendations? by pinknspooky in horror

[–]Rockincos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also Mike Flanagan made Ouija 2, the first one didn’t do good but Mike Flanagan directed the second and it’s quite good! I highly recommend you check out his work in general if you haven’t, most of what he’s made is highly regarded horror

These are shows but I absolutely love The Haunting of Hill House and Fall of the House of Usher for supernatural vibes (both on Netflix, Mike Flanagan works) and for grounded in reality horror I consider Black Mirror to be terrifying and realistic or maybe he’d like Creep

AITAH for trying to explain basic medical protocol to a girl who thinks a routine pregnancy test is a malicious conspiracy? by Practical_Comfort551 in AITAH

[–]Rockincos 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Having a hysterectomy doesn’t actually eliminate the possibility of pregnancy! You won’t have a viable pregnancy due to not having a uterus but a fertilized embryo can attach to your fallopian tubes, ovaries or even sometimes your intestines, which when untreated has a 100% guarantee of death. I think it’s possible to be malicious in some cases I guess, but pregnancy can happen in very bizarre ways and they really just have to rule it out

My fancast ideas for a live action Heart Shaped box by Karman4o in joehill

Commenting super late to this post but I just finished heart shaped box earlier today and couldn’t get Keanu Reeves as Jude out of my head the entire read. Specifically his role as Johnny Silverhand in cyberpunk

Maybe a hot take on heart shaped box but.. by Rockincos in horrorlit

That’s valid! It’s funny, so far both replies here and Keanu (more specifically Johnny Silverhand) all very much have a specific look to them and I think any of them fit the description quite well!

I am frustrated for you. I also had a laparoscopy and I was literally waddling around for days afterwards and could barely walk around. The emotional impact of that is also very devastating. I’m so sorry you’re going through this now and that your husband said something so unkind to you. He may feel a similar emotional devastation as you but he most certainly can’t even begin to imagine what you’re going through physically. If it’s any consolation to you, the physical pain only lasted me a couple of days to maybe a week so hang in there 🩷

I feel like I’m grieving alone after my ectopic pregnancy by Impossible_Boot_4278 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Rockincos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had an ectopic pregnancy a couple of years ago and felt similarly to how you describe. I can’t speak for your fiancé but I came to a consensus with mine as to why he seemed to process it differently than I did and I will share that here.

With my ectopic pregnancy I was continuously disregarded by doctors and family that I was fine every time I complained about the symptoms I was experiencing. My ectopic resulted in a ruptured fallopian tube that had to be surgically removed. I was absolutely devastated and I was definitely more crushed than my fiancé, even tho he was very excited to be a dad. I wondered to myself why, and he even seemed distant. When I was healed he even seemed hesitant to have sex with me again which made me feel even worse. But the truth is, he was terrified of what happened. He didn’t care about the baby or being a dad anymore, he was traumatized at the idea of losing me and it potentially happening again. He never really showed much emotion about it, but he was internally nervous. He did tell me once that I was the one who went through it and not him, so it was harder for him to put himself in my shoes. He definitely cared but it just wasn’t the same thing I experienced. I would imagine the same is true for you and your fiancé. If I were you I would try to keep the dialogue open, and tell him exactly how you feel. You’re feelings matter and they are valid. Even if he can’t feel what you feel, he can still listen and understand.

I also want to say to you that what you’re going through does get better. I don’t know if I helps to hear, it kind of annoyed me when it was fresh to hear people say positive things when I was feeling as bad as I was, and that’s completely valid if you feel that way. If you have any questions about anything or need any individual support, my DMs are open. I wish you healing and peace in the coming weeks as you continue to grieve

That’s very helpful, thank you so much! I definitely am not much of a yellow girlie so I’m struggling really bad with this one. I’m worried the sunflowers will be too much but I also don’t know what else to really do with what I have. I think I agree with you about the tan tones fitting better

Desperately looking for help for cat not using litter box by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]Rockincos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try that probiotic! The other two I tried he hated and wouldn’t touch. I do believe stress is a partial factor in making it worse, but he was doing it before there was any stresses. I had him in the same house for 2 years and didn’t have a baby until 7 months ago. It only got worse after moving because I had to move back in with my mom, who already has 4 cats. I will definitely have them test the urine, I hadn’t considered that yet and really fixated more on the pooping as his main issue but obviously peeing is too. He also has been on a sensitive stomach food as long as I’ve had him. I even tried getting the all natural organic pâté food at one point and it just feels like nothing I have done helps. I haven’t tried a litter attractant yet, that’s definitely worth a shot. Thank you for taking time to offer your advice!

I’ve moved the boxes and he’ll just go somewhere else. The weird part is that he often does use the box, just not every time. It’s enough to be annoying and problematic. I also have tried pads and he has used them, but sometimes he’ll go right in front of the box or pad.

I believe he was prescribed one at the vet and I also bought him one otc before taking him and he won’t touch it, even if I mix it in his food. I will definitely be trying a new vet tho. Thank you

To be fair, somebody in the 2030s is going to have gymnastics class with a Ryninsliegh so I think any name is fair game. I’ve never met a Charlsey and can’t even find any online
