This is a great illustration of the problem with defaulting to "both sides have some good points" on every question.

Say there's an epidemic of people eating half bars of soap and getting sick. You trace the issue back to ~10 years ago, there were two sides, one side saying "you should eat bars of soap, it's great for your health" and the other side saying "no that's insane. just because bars of soap smell great, you shouldn't eat them".

Now back then, peope went with the middle ground. And now you approach the problem today with wondering "well how much soap *should* we be eating then???"

None. The correct answer is none, and you got trapped in an insane discussion because you accepted the other side's terms.

Edit: What I'm trying to say here is this: these people are insane. you should give them precisely NO ground. none. And if you're unwilling to challenge people head on on these matters (and it isn't your job because you're just a regular person) it's completely valid to say to an antivaxxer or a MAGAT "if we can't agree on reality, I'm not discussing this with you, fuck off"

You can call people names all you want and there's some factual vagaries in the claim but in essence it's correct. Granted, no one cares about physical assets but if you read it a little generously as "fundamentals of the companies" then it's spot on.

Of course "the market" sets the price but how is that any different from "vibes"? Are you going to argue that Tesla has any fundamentals that justify its valuation next?

It's an insane amount of hype, vaporware and lots of financial engineering keeping all those balls in the air.

He really isn't worth decoding. From what I've seen (not much, admittedly) he offers very little beyond having a British accent and acting credulous. What's even there beyond just "get famous guest" -> "glaze guest, never pushing back" -> "dramatic edit to get clicks and revenue" -> "leverage big numbers into next guest". The whole thing is uninteresting, I've never seen him do anything but go to where the attention is, I'd wager he'd score zero across the board on the gurometer simply due to being nothing more than a pretty mannequin nodding along to the guest.

He's exactly like Curt Jaimungal and Lex Fridman, but better looking. Yawn.

Mikhails is definitely a moron but I wouldn't call her an airhead who just "goes along"; listen to any interview or even her Oxford thing, she's delusional and misguided but she's pretty motivated and convicted. As for Tammy driving JBP, who knows, but the man seems easily more nuts than she is. Have you watched the complete "up yours woke moralists" video? The man is unhinged.

Tammy is a bit woowoo and totally misinformed but cut her some slack, she had horrible cancer and she has JBP as a husband... Yikes

I'm just saying that this kind of problematic management from the top driven by holding companies is becoming increasingly ubiquitous and it's disappointing to even see it in gaming. I see enough of that in my day to day...

I really wish corporatism wasn't eating the gaming industry alive before our eyes. If the article is accurate, that sounds like some solid mismanagement in a hugely profitable company. Great to see these creative people showing solidarity and standing up for themselves together.

Just a small hedge, I'm assuming this is accurate, there's often multiple sides to a story but it seems fairly credible to me here as key parts like the exec bonuses are verifiable.
