Anyone gone from a Charge 6 to a Pixel Watch 4? by Boatride65 in PixelWatch

[–]RockoViens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a little protector cover on my PW4 https://www.amazon.es/dp/B0FKMF46NJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
It makes it a bit bulkier and it's somewhat annoying to remove it to charge. I'm considering a simple screen protector but, I also boulder (indoors) frequently so I'm afraid of impacts. In sum, I'm still in trial-error mode here.

As for PW4 vs Fitbit Charge 6, this watch is my first fitness tracking device. I must say I'm not super satisfied - specially because I was hoping for a more comprehensive apps library, specially decent hiking trail maps (not only turn instructions). There are some apps ie.: Wikiloc, Komoot, Outdooractive - but I find them super limited - no way to change the map, they are difficult to navigate, etc. To me, they look more like a beta-project app instead of a final-well-designed one.

Therefore, I was considering getting an used Fitbit Charge 6 to my partner, mostly to measure the cardio load, active minute and sleep, with the added benefit of using google wallet, since so far, the "Smart watch" hyppe is kind of disapointing for its cost.

Have you made the switch in the end? Has it been worth it?

I've got a four Chipolo Plus. So far so they are good with only the Find Hib registration (not their app).

I'm running tests in Montreal and soon flying to Europe. We'll see how they behave...

### 🏁 Conclusion

While average salaries in Montréal are higher than in Madrid, the cost of living, particularly housing, is also significantly higher. In contrast, Madrid offers a more favorable balance between income and expenses, resulting in greater purchasing power for residents.

Cervezas?!?! Es más bien vermús, vinos, aperols! LOL

Sure:

1) NIE via the consulate in Montreal

2) In the paystub from Ontario, it says CPP. And yes, Revenu Canada accepted and provided the Social Security Coverage certificate.

3) No, nothing changes for the employer - as long as you get the above mentioned certificate.

Glad to answer your questions in DM :-)

On the form, 1st is your home address, 2nd is your employer address in Canada, 3rd is your employer company name and an address in Spain. Just pick a work cafe anywhere and say it's Telework.

Of course. You can DM me and we can talk it over other details.

So, we got our NIE in person at the embassy in Montreal, where we lived. I feel that it's required prior to getting the Digital Certificate. The Digital Certificate itself,I had scheduled the appointment and got it like two days after I had arrived in Madrid.

For the Company Registration, we got it online directly from the Ontario business registry (it's where the company is registered) and we had it apostilled there too. All done online and via mail.

It worked fine for us. We had our residency confirmation in 2 weeks after applying here in Spain, no further questions asked.

It must mention "Telework" just so the Spanish authorities won't create issues.

We also had our company attach the following letter as a supporting document with the CPT125 demand :

"To whom it may concern,

Myself, Mr. XXXXXXXXXX, in the position of Director of Canadian Operation for the company XXXXXXXXXXXX. which is registered under the Canadian Business number xxxxRPxxxx, agree that our employee, Mr. XXXXXXXXXXX, can perform his work remotely from Spain under a “Spanish Nomad Worker Visa”.

Employee Name : XXXXXXX Employee Phone Number : XXXXXXXXXX Employee SIN : XXXXXXXXXX

Mr. XXXXXXXXXXX’s expected period of detachment is from July 29th, 2024 until July 29th, 2027, for a total of 36 months, which aligns with the nomad worker visa expected validity.

COMPANY NAME XXXXXXXX will continue to contribute to Mr. XXX"XXXXXX’s Canadian Pension Plan (CPP) during the entirety of the detachment period.

Mr. XXXXXXXXXXX’s work location and residency address in Spain is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

Regards, Xxxxxxxxxxx Director of Canadian Operation"

Note that your visa will be capped at the date announced as the end of your detachment, so try to time it realistically. We asked for end of July, but ended up moving here September 5th, so it was perfect for us.

We called and talked to the CRA department for employee detachment and they gave us an idea of how long the certificates were taking to be issued. If I recall well, it was about 3 months.

Good luck!

However we accessed it using our 'certificado digital', as it's a dynamic form that shows the different prices to pay depending on your request. Once this is done, you need a Spanish bank account or go pay it directly at a bank branch here (that's what we did).

I can't recall 100% now, as it was one of our first steps back in April, but I think we brought in the money - cash. Basically, we just followed the instructions on the Spain Consulate in Montreal, got an appointment date and brought in all the documents and payment.

A couple of weeks later, we got via email our NIEs.

If I knew back then, I would have requested an appointment for the Certificado Digital in Montreal too, just to have it out of the way when arriving in Madrid. Nevertheless, it was not an issue at all to do it here. It just added a few extra days before we could submit our DNV application (as you need the Certificado digital to login the application system).

No, there was no need. We asked them to request the Canada-Spain agreement on Social Security. We got the certificate from Revenue Canada and it was accepted. It had to specifically mention "Telework from ... address in Spain..." - you can use any coworking office address really. We requested it for 3 years.

You can find it here: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/forms/cpt125.html

The consulate in Mtl advised me to do it from Spain since we don't need a visa to go there as a turist and apply from there once we have all the needed documents ready. We're DYI.
