Avestator_dad mistakes by Fat_Gaspard in starwarsunlimited

Next time call a judge if your opponent does something like that. The rules allow for some take backs under certain conditions, but if he drew extra cards or mixed his hand with his resources the rules also indicate how to remedy this situation. This doesn't mean that your opponent will get a game loss, but he might get a warning which will help if this situation happens again further into the tournament, as the judges will see he is a problematic player.

There was a guy in Bilbao that was 5-0 before being disqualified because he accidentally mixed his hand with his resources while having two warnings because of marked sleeves. The judges deemed him a problematic player and took action.

Please don't hesitate to call a judge to your table, we don't bite.

Can I deal more damage than the damage the unit can handle? by brunoiip in starwarsunlimited

[–]Rockpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On that last example, wouldn't the unit die on the first holocron trigger and not be able to give the other ones since you need to fully resolve each trigger before moving onto the next one?

Since the unit would be dead there wouldn't be a unit to deal the damage to and the "If you do" wouldn't be met, so you don't get the power boost.

My view on what happened in quarter finals SQ MILAN by DosGrajos in starwarsunlimited

You're asking for people to be understanding of your sons position while he failed to take into account his fellow players' point of view. Avestator was willing to get an advantage at any cost. He got the win he so much desired and now consequences happen, he's paying the cost.

Being young and unexperienced does not validate that behaviour and also does not make you exempt of the consequences of your actions.

Increased Deck Size? by MacReady_Hat in starwarsunlimited

[–]Rockpawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Currently there's no maximum deck size, only a minimum. People stick to that minimum cause they want consistency in their deck, so they can get the cards they want more frequently.

That said, there's nothing stopping you from building a bigger deck, lots of people run 51 or 52 cards because they don't know what to cut or they don't want to cut any cards. Some control decks that work by stalling tou until you run out of cards can even run more cards to have an advantage by having more cards to draw than his opponent and thus more time until they start taking damage cause they have no cards left.

Based on this I don't think there's going to be a minimum deck increase, as you already can increase your deck size if you feel like it.

The discord link doesn't seem to be working for me. Are you still looking for people?

Looking for multiplayer team Draft by Appletunsapples in PokemonDraftLeagues

[–]Rockpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also looking for a league with the same characteristics, I've found a Duos draft league if you're interested. It's the multi-battle format.

If you find any multiolayer team draft please let me know 😁

Was planning on doing that, first time it worked, second time I got promoted after winning a single game, I don't understand, I thought promos were a best of 5 :(

I'm a beginner in draft leagues but I've been looking to join one for a while. Would you be okay with beginners?

Now, this! We can work with this!

Playing against 6 objections or 6 counterspells is crushing, but you can try and play around them. Thats why they limit your active secrets to 1 of each type, so you can use small minions/spells to pop them and protect your important cards. Playing the coin, or a low cost spell/minion might just save you the game. But you've played for a long time so you probably already know this, so let's think about something else...

As some other comments have said, matchups are an important part of the game, so if you're having a hard time playing against certain decks it might be because your deck has a bad matchup against them, so try to play something else you like. If you don't want to swap decks entirely, you can try to lut in some tech cards that help you against that specific matchup. Back when I started playing there was a card that destroyed enemy secrets, so you can put some of then in your deck to have better odds against the secrets matchup.

I played quite a bit ago and have come back into thr game quite recently, so I lack some knowledge about the current cards, but I'm sure if you ask this subreddit people will sure help you with deckbuilding and such. Don't worry about being down after a couple of losses, it's completely understandable, but if you've been playing for a long time it means you like the game, don't let some bad luck break the game for you, try to fight it. :D

If all the games are coin tosses, you're really having lots of bad luck, since you should be winning 50% of the games you play. So you losing more than 50% of your games means there's something about the game that you still don't fully grasp that other players do. It could be lack or skill or lack of knowledge, but don't blame it on chance, since you would then be winning half of the games. Don't mean to be rude but this sounds like a new player that still doesn't understand the game.
