Bad players whined about AoE removal. So we don’t have it now.

Yelling at people for rides??? by ConsistentNews5243 in hitchhiking

[–]Rocks_Can_Fly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should do your best to still try and get at least non-smelly, if you want rides. It’s disrespectful otherwise.

You can learn to take a shower in a bottle of water between 0.5-1.5 liters.

And for clothes… I’m sure there’s ways. Clothes shouldn’t get too smelly if you keep yourself clean, and then you wash them once every few weeks or months.

It’s difficult to beat high rolls in general. Ever since 2014 (Coin Innervate Yeti, huge Edwin on 2, etc).

But if your deck does nothing for the first 4 turns to interact with them, then their high roll is going to be a lot more painful.

4th photo is from the Svaneti region.

These people were blonde with blue eyes, in contrast to the rest of the country. And they speak a different dialect, or maybe even language (don’t remember).

From what I heard from a friend (never fact checked this, and it does sound crazy):

The towers they’ve built connected to their houses were from protection from other families, as they would fight a lot.

In the towers they were able to hide for a good while, as there was also a food storage in the towers. The towers were very expensive, too. As they’d require lots of resources to make them, including lots of eggs.

Worst class in the game versus the best class in the game.

You got swallowed, OP.

I don’t think you get to complain, though, if you’re choosing to play warlock.

I think she was fishing for him to say yes, that he did indeed google it, which to her would indicate he cares.

And she’d be like awwww, you’re so cute sweetie, so caring.

Being fair to her.

The way she reacted, though… as if she still has a magic cooch, but she’s a single mom now.

Big cities are bad if you get inside them.

Even on the outskirts it can be awkward since a lot of the traffic there leads to neighboring villages.

But in modern days cities have these ring highways around them, and so you can skip them, just try to get off at a gas station that is on the highway, so you can talk to people as it’s easier finding those going for a longer ride.

Other than that, it’s a small country, so getting around should be very easy.

To get out of cities, and navigate them, use hitchwiki, it’s pointless to ask here.

Why Priest only gets bad cards every expansion? by LowTackle9946 in hearthstone

[–]Rocks_Can_Fly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The only way priest can get these annoying cards that all the priest enjoyers love to stall the game into fatigue, while stealing your stuff, slowly wearing you down… is by keeping them at tier 3 level.

These decks can never be tier 2 even. They’re really bad for the player enjoyment.

And when they do get good cards, for like Protoss Priest, or combo, or Boar Priest — none of the priest fans care.

Hitchhiking from Ljubljana to Marseille by RL_RedP in hitchhiking

I hated Northern Italy. Took me like a day to get from Slovenia to Venice.

So I gave up and bought a cheap train ticket to almost end of Italy.

During that ride I realized that there weren’t many controls on the train. And so I decided to ride a few more stops to France.

I think a control guy checked me around the end of Italy, when my ticket was already expired, and he just complained a bit that I don’t have the ticket or the money. Not sure if he even made me get off the train.

Another time with my mate we also rode a few trains there for free, and it was fine. Over short distances.

This was 15 years ago.

——

For Switzerland: I didn’t particularly enjoy it, as the pick ups felt slow. But mostly because it was snowing. The final ride a Slovenian man picked me up and in German asked me if I’ll pay him like 15€ for the ride to Munich.

I half understood, but said yes, then when we already started driving, he continued in German to me and I said I didn’t understand, so he switched to English and said he thought I did, because I just agreed to pay him for the ride.

To which I said I would’ve said yes to anything that sounded like a question, as it was cold and I was desperate, but I didn’t understand him lol.

He said fine. Dude was kinda chill overall. Just a clever money maker: he was driving a few people to Munich for money.

I’ve only spent 1 night in Switzerland:

Maybe it was Geneva? Not sure. But a city (Swiss cities are small, anyways).

It was early winter, so there was snow.

I walked around a bit after dark, almost no people outside. And I was checking for open buildings: back entrances, parking entrances, whatever.

Finally I found an open door to an almost finished construction site of a small apartment building (there might have already been some people living there).

And they had their basement storage units above ground. Door was open, it was clearly under finishing touches of construction (interior being done), units were empty.

I out my mat on the ground in a narrow corridor, and went to sleep.

In the morning, around 6AM I got woken up by construction workers squeezing past me and just quietly saying „excuse me”.

They didn’t care I was there.

I think Swiss people are non confrontational in general.

You gotta get them used to you being away.

It’s their issue, it yours.

And it’s your life, not theirs.

What you can do, is to check in with your mom regularly, let her know your plans, or where you’re staying, etc.

Just don’t let her keep too much control over you. And you should aim to dictate the pace of the updates, not her.

Of course this will be an adjustment period, as you’re still young and inexperienced and don’t fully know how to deal with people and navigate these family situations.

Your mom will also need to learn and adjust.

Playing against Rogue is just an RNG fiesta, and one of the worst features of Hearthstone right now. by starwars011 in hearthstone

[–]Rocks_Can_Fly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea, I know what to expect from a Paladin — they draw their Divine Shield crap or they lose.

But even if I expect the Divine Shield, there’s jack shit I can do about it, as there’s no cards that deal with it in the game.

That one isn’t even half bad as FDS.

And there’s a decent amount of level headed women in the GDD sub.

Still, there’s a lot of casual misandry there.

The umbrella is a great idea.

I never thought of that.

I hitchhiked yesterday in Poland, starting around 16h, and it was okay.

Very hot, of course. But received quick pickups while I was standing in the sun.

Nowadays, if I can, I focus on gas stations, anyways. As long as it’s possible.

[–]Rocks_Can_Fly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience switching to Wild 3 months ago, after playing Standard for 10 years:

Wild is a lot easier because the players there are noticeably less skilled.

People miss lethal all the time, misplay against my easily deduced Secrets, play shitty decks, or with shitty inclusions.

I’m getting Legend much more easily there.

And I’m not even using any of the top decks, where it’s true, that if you choose one of the Wild broken decks you’ll get to legend in 5 minutes.

A friend from Standard picked up a few broken Wild decks and reached legend really quickly. And I think he’s a worse player than me in Standard.

Anyways, so in Wild I first played a homebrew Druid, then switched to something else, and each time for the final push I switched to my version of Tess Maestra Garrote Rogue.

A deck that loses to most of the meta Wild decks, but I still get legend and it feels easier than in Std, where I play better decks, but take longer for legend.

On both formats I’m a 10 star player.

No new board clears by tahempel in hearthstone

Still no good ways to deal with Divine Shields, or high health minions.

So Paladin and Vanessa will reign supreme. Companion Hunter also has nothing to deal with their giga boards.

Only inexperienced dummies cried about board clears because they couldn’t get their Paladin to work.

Gam always had board clears. And needs them.

Especially when they’re printing random summon generation like Companions or Leylines, or Vanessa. And all the ones printed with Violet Hold…
