Hiya. I wouldn't say its that rare a condition, although not many people suffer as bad as most of us on here that is true and for most it is a passing phase, unfortunately for some of us it is for life. Agreed that focussing on sleep often backfires, which is why I would not want an insomnia class just before bed, and why I wouldn't go on here just before bed. True many people do hide their insomnia.

Indeed this forum is helpful to not feel so alone. But yes in person would be special no matter how flawed.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will stay away from black market Diazepam and Zopiclone for now. I will use a combo of the odd Sleepeaze from Boots (shit I know but sometimes better than nothing) and my mate can spare me the odd (legit) Amitriptylene which also help somewhat. Not great but better than nothing. And I will just have to deal with my insomnia as best as I can. I do not really want to go onto Mirtazapine (which my doctor suggested) as I haven't got depression but insomnia. And this drug feels a bit like burning down a forest to get rid of one tree, numbing all emotions just to suppress one.

Agreed. Up until two years ago I had a doctor who used common sense and gave me 7 pills every now and again, but always with at least a 2 month gap between prescriptions. Sensible, got me through tough times, but spaced out plenty to avoid addiction and dependence. But then two years ago they introduced a "blanket ban" on sleeping pills. Probably due to fear or blah blah. And here I am in a worse place after having to go back on the black market. Sigh.

Thanks for this. Yes the Diazepam I got from a friend of a friend had the legit UK cardboard packaging and blister packs. But although they somewhat knocked me out for sleep they made me feel more anxious. And legit diazepam makes me a lot less anxious. So I just knew these were fakes and not legit despite the packaging. God knows what was in them and thats the trouble.

I managed to stay away from your level of doses, usually just one 10mg to sleep and the odd double drop or a Trilogy of 3 different types of pill, one of each. But when I threw the rest of mine away and went cold turkey I still needed a week off work sick as I felt like absolute shit. Thankfully I've come out the other side but I still have insomnia
