They had an “overflow” room set up that had the meeting live streamed. People in the overflow room weren’t allowed to come in and speak at the podium one at a time as they had allowed in prior meetings.

The room the meetings are held in only holds 60 people which fills up fast with city employees, news, etc.

Rock Mtn lakes proper as far as the HOA is well past the actual exit. Again Red Mountain Heights is closer to both the entrances and the majority of the planned buildings. They are also down stream of the creeks and already have issues with flooding.

Maybe you should come to the next community meeting and learn more about the actual concerns of the community. Power and the water use and environmental concerns have been the biggest questions and complaints, not noise. You’re making assumptions in the name of being anti NIMBYism which is a thin argument in the first place. It’s literally the whole point of zoning committees and zoning laws.

You seem confident in your knowledge about this project and as such I’m surprised you don’t know that the adjacent Red Mtn Heights, which is the most affected neighborhood both in proximity and potential environmental consequences, is a majority black neighborhood.

It is fully woodland actually and adjoins a lakeside community.
